I vacationed in Guyana for the first time. I booked this because it would allow me to have a home-cooked meal. The meal consisted of a grilled fish fillet, vegetable, side, and salad. Additionally, I expected there to be singing throughout the 2 - 2.5 hour activity. The host sung four songs. Given that there is a two-ticket minimum, I invited a local friend with me who is from the area. I was asked by the hostess' wife "Is this your husband/boyfriend." I responded he's a friend. I was then asked, "Who is he to you? How did you meet?" I responded, "He's a friend." It was clear I did not want to answer further; yet, the host/hostess asked six more times throughout the dinner. When my friend gave an additional response, the host asked, "Is that the truth?" I had my reasons for why I did not want to answer a personal question about my private life for the host/hostess as well as the other guests at the event. My friend did answer the question vaguely, but truthfully. However, it was none of their business and the uneccesary prying made the experience aggravating.

First, I would like to start this review by saying thank you to Jessica and Eon for making our experience special and memorable. It was my first time back in Guyana in roughly 15 years, and I decided to bring my new fiancee with me to my country and attend this private dinner experience. Jessica and Eon were incredibly accommodating and accommodated our arrival requests with no issues. Upon arriving, Jessica greeted us and brought us to the backyard, where Eon was preparing our dishes. The dishes were prefix, but they were delicious!! Eon, that pumpkin soup app with the bitter melon caviar in the middle is something serious! The main course, which was a trout was also super delicious and juicy, and the coconut mousse dessert - oh man, my fiancee keeps raving about it - we would come back to Guyana just for that! Both Jessica and Eon entertained us with some captivating stories about their journeys in Guyana and their look ahead for what's to come next - I love the future plans and can't wait to see you guys again in the future. Finally, we were serenaded with a few lovely songs to complement the evening and commemorate my engagement with my fiancee - that was a nice touch, and we appreciate it. Overall, we really enjoyed this experience - Jessica and Eon are incredible hosts, and we had a wonderful time with them. I highly recommend this dinner experience to everyone in the Georgetown area.

Really unique experience. Pros: great food, fresh juices and discussions about the preparation of the food. The singing/songs were really enjoyable. Cons: hard location to find and the singing was short-lived. Would recommend!

Eon and Jessica are charming and entertaining couple, the food is absolutely delicious and Eon is an accomplished singer. The song lyrics also are very relevant to Guyana, and brought back some memories from the previous 2 weeks travelling there. Chatting with them both gave some insights into their very remarkable life histories and also some more ideas to return to Guyana for another trip. Highly recommended, and (for me) a very pleasant way to finish off my trip to Guyana.
