We initially booked this particular activity by mistake. I was looking for a car tour and a private one, because I have mobility issues and use a walking stick. I can walk but not too fast or rushed. It was very important that I went at my own pace hence why it had to be private. However after booking, I realised during conversation with Mouanis, that it was a walking tour and a group tour. I messaged to tell Mouanis the situation and why I needed to go at my own pace and he very kindly decided to block that time slot so that no one else would book it, it was just my party of 3 people. I sincerely appreciate that kind gesture. Mouanis is very knowledgeable and made the tour fun. He went at my pace and gave us enough time to shop or look around at the places we stopped by. He also arranged for a car to pick us up and drop us afterward. Also we had different stops for me to rest and catch my breath. I got told all the history behind the medina. I saw the cooperative women breaking the argan seed, how they wove fabrics, I was told about the 9400 streets, the first university in the world, the museum by the Najjarine souq among many others. Please do not hesitate to book this tour. Mouanis is a perfect gentleman and very knowledgeable. I can't wait to return to Fez and have him take me around and maybe host me this time at his Riad. Thank you Mouanis for such a lovely experience

I did a “half” tour of the Medina (Fes El Bali) with Mouaniss. It was about 2 hours and half long, but quite dense and very informative. The tour included the Nejjarine Foundouk/museum, the Kairaouine university & mosque, As-Seffarine square, Zaouia of Moulay Idriss II place, the tanneries, and multiple souks. I got to talk to a number of craftsmen at their shop, which was nice. There was no pressure to buy anything (unlike in some other places I have been before). Apart from learning about Fes, its culture, and history, after this tour a lot more confident about navigating the Medina on my own. Thanks, Mouaniss!

Mouanis can speak good English. Tour was concise. His knowledge of the labyrinth is excellent. Fes can be overwhelming. We also visited the Qarawyn University arguably the oldest university in the world

Mouannis took excellent care of us! We were a large and picky group and had many things we wanted to do - he designed a detailed itinerary that was exactly what we had in mind (even if we didn’t articulate it well). We learned so much! Can’t recommend him highly enough!

We had a fabulous tour with Mouanis. His knowledge of the medina and wider culture was excellent which made for an interesting and informative few hours visiting all the main sites whilst navigating the medina streets which would have been near impossible on our own!

Our tour with Mouanis was the highlight of our trip! As he showed us through the medina it was clear that he loves the city. We were able to see a variety of artisans and points of interest. The tour was reasonably paced and we were allowed to explore the shops at our pace. Would highly recommend!

Mouanis has guided us through Fez from one beautiful place to another even more beautiful! He knows many people and his tour is the perfect mix between old town, culture, shops, tanners, carpet or mosaic makers etc. In addition, he is also just a nice, friendly Customer! Don’t doubt, just book, you see things you would never see otherwise 👍🏻

This was a fabulous introduction to the fez medina. Mouanis was so generous with his knowledge and stories and he did not rush us but let us go at our pace. He took us to a great restaurant for lunch.
