"Manuc Bey" mansion in Hâncești is a destination that must be found on the map of your trip. Built at the beginning of the 19th century, in 1816, Manuc Bei Mansion is an architectural monument located in the Hâncești district of the Republic of Moldova, which has a rich history.
After exploring Manuc Bei Mansion we will continue our tour in a unique place - Gagauzia, populated by a unique Gagauz ethnic minority. What the Turkish speaking population from Bulgaria is doing in Moldova - is a very good question, which can be only understood by visiting this region. What To Expect
Manuc Bey
First, we will visit Manuc Bei Mansion that is located in Hincesti Town at a distance of 36 km from the Chisinau Capital, the tours are guided in Romanian, Russian, English and last 30 minutes. The tourists will discover this Manuc Bei Architectural Historic Complex, visit the Museum of History and Ethnography, the Main Palace, an underground tunnel, the Hunting Castle, they also have a liquor store, where you can buy a bottle of sparkling wine or a wine prepared by Hincesti Winery.
Comrat
After Manuc-Bey we continue our drive to the South - heading to Komrat, the capital of Gagauzia. Visit to the city and the Cathedral of Saint-Jean-Baptiste. Also we will visit The City Hall with the Lenin monument in front of the building, Memorial Slavy. Well, don't expect to see big luxury buildings, but interesting Gagauz history and cultural spots are guaranteed.

5.00If you’re visiting Moldova, this tour is a must. The region may not be very well known, but it’s a real hidden gem and definitely worth seeing. We learned a lot about the local history and culture, and even got to join a traditional Gagauz dance, which was a great experience. Special thanks to Ecaterina, who was very friendly, passionate, and knowledgeable. She made everyone feel comfortable and created a really nice atmosphere for the group. I highly recommend this tour—it’s a great experience and not to be missed!

5.00Had a really amazing day exploring a region I knew very little about. Ecaterina, the guide was an absolute joy to hang out with all day. Even though I had just met them, it felt like I was hanging out with friends all day long. They did a great job of making everyone comfortable and having a really lovely time especially since we spent 11 hours together or so. The tour itself was very informative, and she had deep knowledge of the area. Well, worth the cost.

5.00A fantastic tour! Nicolai was a brilliant guide, offering insight in a thoughtful, intelligent and reflective way, bringing us to a full understanding of this unique region and its people. He collected us from our apartment, gave us clear details in advance, and took us to see both the key sites and photo opportunities and place of insight and interest into the history and culture of Gagauzia. He was open to our questions to understand both history and the current political context, and was a pleasure to spend the day with. Highly recommend!

1.00We booked a private tour for 2. But were put on a group tour. A terrible cramped mini bus, lots of time wasting, and no " guiding" or info at all when we were driving from our guide in his comfy seat at the front. We had only 30 minutes in the most important place, Comrat, that we wanted to see. Our group doubled in size for the tour of the Mansion, when our guide accepted another 6 random people on our guided visit. His translation was poor, as we discovered because luckily our group included Russian speakers. We would not have booked a group tour, as could easily have arranged a driver for the day from our Chisinau hotel. We asked the guide to allow us to remain in Comrat ourselves and be picked up later, but he refused. So much for flexibility and a personal trip. Our request for a partial refund through Viator was met with a blank refusal. Avoid this company.

5.00knowledgeable guide well versed in the area's history as well as the country's geopolitical/economic context. Nikolay himself was from gaughazia. i enjoyed the trip a lot - at the same time do set your expectations right before going on this tour. the things you will appreciate will be a lot more subtle than say other tours in modolva. in terms of sights you will get to see the countryside a lot. gaughazia itself is full of soviet statues and murals. the real thing to be on the lookout for is really the complexity of the social context and demography. and how it contrasts chisinau.
