Together with my parents we went to the mud volcanoes, Gobustan and Absheron. Aydin our guide knows a lot about the history and has made it an unforgettable trip. He is patient, friendly and speaks Turkish in addition to English. Also the driver is very friendly. The drive to the mud volcanoes is a bit bumpy but this has to do with the roads and the cars they use for it. My mother enjoyed it anyway! Baku is a great city with super respectful people. It is really worth making this trip.

I wouldn't recommend using their service. It's not a scam but it's close. The person who was supposed to pick us up made us wait in the street in front of our building for an hour, telling us three times that he would arrive in 10 minutes. Instead of honestly telling us how late he would be — which would have allowed us to grab a coffee or have breakfast. The guide didn’t give us any explanations, and I had to join other groups in order to get interesting information during the visits. Moreover, at the first museum we visited, he came to get me three times, not giving me enough time to read the various descriptions. We really felt that their only goal was to rush through all the attractions as quickly as possible just to get back sooner. In the middle of the day, we were taken to a tourist trap for lunch. The same restaurant had two separate dining areas with different prices. Of course, we were asked to sit in the one where the prices were higher — and we only realized it after placing our order. The transportation to the mud volcano was also a disappointment. Although we were informed about the price in advance, we never imagined we’d be taken there in old, broken-down cars that clearly weren’t worth the 25 manat. Finally even though the guide and the driver were both very friendly I would never use their services again.

This accidental tour was the most fun and educational part of our Baku trip. The tour was well-organized. Our guide also allowed us to understand the sights we visited, with his mastery, knowledge and detailed descriptions. Plus, the caring and friendly attitude made us feel like we were outing with a group of friends. Thank you very much. Plus, I can recommend both the Alov tour and the Guide Clear for everyone with comfort.
