The traditional style of life that was prevalent in Dubai from the mid 19th century till the 1970s is reflected at Al-Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood, where buildings with high air towers (Barajeel), built with traditional building materials such as stone, gypsum, teak, sandal wood, fronds and palm wood are aligned side by side, separated by alleys, pathways and public squares, which give the district a natural and beautiful diversity. I was in Dubai for a business trip and had some free time to explore. I wanted to see the street markets but was concerned about how aggressive the vendors tend to be. This tour was perfect for me. Just a quick introduction to the old section of Dubai and the Souk market places. The guide was very knowledgeable and assisted several guests in the tour with negotiating a good price on purchases.

Great time with Mohammad as he showed us around the older part of Dubai giving us a great insight in to the history. Really enjoyed been shown around the Spice and Gold Souks. Would highly recommend this,walking tour.

The tour through the old town of Dubai was really interesting and informative. Our tour guide Muhammad was really friendly, reliable and could answer all the questions we had. He even offered kindly to take pictures of us and seemed to have a lot of fun with it, which I have never experienced with a tour guide before. I would definitely recommend it since we learned a lot about the culture, the customs and the life in Dubai!
