As the indigenous people of Lapland, the cultural heritage of the Sámi is immeasurably valuable. during our day in Inari, you can explore it in the middle of beautiful Inari village with our guide.
We will visit the well-known Sámi Museum "Siida" and you’ll get to have lots of fresh air while learning various survival skills with the help of a guide or by exploring the local terrain yourself. We’ll have our mouth-watering, Lapland style lunch outdoors by an open fire.
In the afternoon, we’ll visit a reindeer farm to get acquainted with these iconic animals of Lapland. The animals are very tame and they will allow you to pet and feed them.
Please be at the shop latest at 8:45, so we have time for necessary preparations.
The total duration of the trip is around 8-9 h. We return to the shop between 17 and 18:00.
The trip is executed with a minimum of 4 participants.

A touch of original Sami culture (museum) and Sami way of leaving(reindeers) . Myself and my teenage kids were impressed

5.00Perfect mix of sami museum with great amount of interesting information and Reindeers farm run by family for years. Sami museum was very interesting and guide very knowledgeable. Reindeers farm very very recommended, run by family leaving there for years, 10-20 reindeers are socialized and you can actually enter the enclosure where they are kept, feed them there and pet. Excellent guide (Alex) who shared with used lots of interesting information, and being at most helpful. We even did together eclectic scooters day after (my teen age kids loved it)

5.00Guide had many interesting things to tell. The museum covers Sami culture with some amazing art, clothes and tools. It also teaches you about the local nature throughout the seasons with beautiful pictures. We ate a delicious creamy soup by the campfire next to a river rapid. Then we learned about reindeer, which we also were allowed to pet and feed. Dress warmly, because you will be outside a lot.

5.00I booked a one-day-trip with Xwander to Inari Region. We visited SIIDA, a local reindeer farm and did cooking by the campfire in an open hut close to the river. Our guide Sonja was very friendly and professional. She showed us around, told us about the local culture and was a five-star cook as well :) We even used fish which was caught by the guide itself in a nearby lake a few hours ago! Great! Xwander also organized pick-up and drop-off at my hotel in Saariselka. The trip was a great experience and professionally organized. Highly recommend it!

5.00Great day trip with interesting information about the life of the seeds, nature and a visit to the reindeer. With a lot of information I didn't know yet. For example, reindeer don't like the annoying mosquitoes any more than I do.... Had a sumptuous lunch - prepared by the campfire. In great surroundings.
