Fort Fincastle
Fort Fincastle is a fort located in the city of Nassau on the island of New Providence in The Bahamas. The fort was built in 1793 by Lord Dunmore. Built around 1793 on Society Hill, the fort overlooks the city of Nassau and the Queen’s Staircase, and is often accessed that way by visitors on foot.
Queen's Staircase
The Queen's Staircase is a walkway of 66 steps in Nassau, the capital city of The Bahamas. It was carved out of solid limestone rock by 600 slaves between 1793 and 1794 to create an escape route from the fort above and is a major landmark of Nassau. This is located at the same stop as Fort Fincastle, ask your guide if you need assistance.

This could have been good. Time was completely wasted by including Atlantis. You just park about two blocks away and are told you have 20 minutes. It takes 6 or 8 minutes each way to walk it. They send you into their shops. First thing I see is the Rolex store. No thanks. Tour guide admitted that it was mostly an advertisement for Atlantis. They had no intention of actually letting you see anything. The guy at the door even kinda acted snooty. 14 minutes at the Queen's Staircase. 20 minutes to shop at Fort Fincastle, but no time to tour it. Tour guide was really good, he just didn't have any time. Just cut Atlantis out and give an actual unrushed tour.

Very convinient! Very personalized! We learned about the culture and history of Bahamas on every detail and saw it first hand. Rich’ard, is awesome and really took good care of us and made sure we experience Bahamas even in a short period of time.

This was by far the worst tour I have ever taken in my entire life. The tour was 2.5 hours long, but the majority of it, almost 2 hours was spent on a bus zipping thru Nassau while a guide "Frankie Bahamas" tried to make jokes or talked about his three baby mamas. The driver never met a stop sign he didn't run. After 30 to 40 minutes we were dropped off at Atlantis for 40 minutes and told how poor we were not to be staying there. It was basically a big, over crowded shopping mall. Total waste of time. Then we went to two other shopping stops where we got 9 minutes at each. I'm not kidding. They couldn't get rid of us fast enough. No tip for you! Find something else or you will regret it.

This was a very positive tour. It was family-friendly, and well organized. My two children and I do quite a bit of traveling and we enjoyed this guided tour of the Bahamas. I definitely recommend booking your tour in advance. There are similar companies claiming that they offer the same thing. This guided tour picks you up on the port and navigates you to a private tour bus where you are then toured around the Bahamas.

The tickets, even though only $5. For the fort were not worth it! The Atlantis stop was a good distance to walk to get to hotel, by the time you got there you had no time to check out anything. You were not even allowed into entrance/lobby without a room key…all you got to see were a few stores. It was disappointing! The straw market was across street from cruise port….there was no stop there for people taking the tour, you could walk on your own. Most people in the van, never got to see queens staircase…because of the walk and short time period that was allowed…only three young people got to see it because they could walk faster. They shared their pictures with the people in van, or else they would have never gotten to see the staircase.

The advertising for this tour is misleading. It is more a tour of Nassau. You don’t actually visit Atlantis, just the casino entrance to Atlantis. You do not actually see or go to the resort.

Best way to get a feel of Nassau. You see an ancient fort, you visit the rum cake factory, you go to the Atlantis hotel. Last stop is the straw market. Greg was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable.

Several stops ranging from 10 minutes to 45 minutes that gave us a good overview of the history of New Providence Island. It was a good value.
