Welcome to my speciality tour: an unforgettable 90-minutes in the world’s greatest university – led by Rory, recent graduate of the University of Oxford (BA Philosophy and Theology, 2020-2023).
You’ll discover a thousand years of history and tradition, learn from first-hand experience what it’s like to be an Oxford University Student, and visit some of the most incredible architecture in the world. We’ll even get to go inside a college or a University building (normally Trinity College, or the Divinity School - the oldest teaching building in the whole University)!
I keep my tour groups small and personal – with a maximum of 10 people, you'll be in one of the smallest groups in Oxford – meaning you’ll be able to ask all the questions you want. I’m always happy to adapt tours to the interests of the group.

What To Expect
St. Michael At The North Gate
One of the oldest buildings remaining in Oxford, and, accordingly, thoroughly steeped in history - the church of St. Michael at the North Gate is an entirely apt start to our tour. Here, I'll explain how Oxford first came to be, and tell the dramatic stories of conflict between City and University.
Balliol College
Balliol is one of the oldest colleges in Oxford. Here, I'll explain how the college system works and tell you about some of my experiences of college life.

5.00Rory provided an absolutely wonderful tour of Oxford university. He is a recent graduate so provided many insights into life at Oxford. He shared lots of fun and fascinating stories and answered our many questions as we strolled along. The amount of walking was easy and he got us into places the public can’t go into. A wonderful tour guide and a terrific hour and a half. He even gave us tips on good pubs and things to do on our own. Highly recommend!

5.00Rory was an excellent guide, we thoroughly enjoyed his walking tour and the facts he relayed to us. We visited at least 4 colleges and his pace was just right and as a local we walked to places I’d never been before. My daughter and my cousin ( from Sussex) also really enjoyed the tour and we were really glad we did it.

5.00Really informative tour with Rory, who was engaging, personable and had a good sense of humour. As we were the only two on the tour, Rory asked about our interests and did his best to impart relevant facts as we went around. He was also happy to tailor the tour to us if we wished to visit an alternative college. Lots of great anecdotes about university life too!
