What To Expect

Discover scuba diving is a program open to anyone who is aged 10 years or above. You can experience diving without becoming a qualified diver. Our PADI dive instructors will teach you some basic dive theory, and guide you through the process of taking your first breaths underwater. For the pool session there are 2 option: 1) start at 7/7.30 am in the morning for a full day activity 2) start around 3 pm the day before the Menjangan trip. Menjangan Island, in the Bali Barat National Park, is a very popular diving and snorkeling destination. Dense coral growth and schools of fish in the shallows make it also extremely suitable for snorkeling. The Day trip to the island leave at 9 in the morning and we will bring you back between 2 and 3 in the afternoon. 2 dives will be included. It takes around 40 minutes by boat to get to Menjangan. In between dives, we will provide you with lunch, fruit water and drinks. MENJANGAN MARINE PARK FEE TO BE PAID IN CASH ON THE SPOT. IDR 225,000 per diver, +100,000 during Sunday and Public Holiday. Everything else is included.

We dived on four days and were perfectly looked after by great people. Karin and her team have made our dives special through their open and friendly nature. In addition to the exciting underwater world, we experienced an extremely professional service that left nothing to be desired. The tips we received for the time outside diving were all very good. I would absolutely recommend the connected gastronomy "The Sage". Again, we were warmly looked after and spoiled with a very good gastronomic performance. I'd like to become a repeat offender.

Had an amazing two days of scuba diving. 1 shore dive and 3 boat dives. Was newly certified and Karen was great to have my first two ocean dives with. Saw amazing coral and fish. Second day was equally amazing. Putu was our dive guide and felt very safe with him. I would highly recommend the Bali Dive Academy.

I have never written a review in my life so take my word when I say that Bali Diving Academy is where you want to go. First and foremost the staff is what sets this dive shop apart from the rest. Kind hearted people who make you feel comfortable, supported, and excited to get in the water. Beyond accommodating and go the extra step to make your experience truly unforgettable. Over the three days I spent with them, they were organized, well prepared, and had a wide set of dive and overall ocean knowledge. I got my open water dive certification, which let me preface I was so nervous about, BUT this shop changed that. During the course I was shown such incredible spots and saw probably some of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen in my life. If I had to do it over again no doubt in my mind that I’d pick Bali Dive Academy. If you are deciding where to go dive in Bali, Bali Dive Academy is your spot!

The Bali Diving academy Pemuteran crew is too good, they took great care of us and gave us the best possible service. It's always concerning when going with family but they were very considerate for everyone's requirements irrespective of the age. Special shoutout to Karin and Eddie for giving us two of the best scuba dives we've done. I would highly recommend going to the Pemuteran dive shop since it's very underrated and they have great crew and dive sites which are not at all crowded.

For someone like me who doesn't know how to swim, it was a big breakthrough for me to be able to sneak underwater under the guidance of the attentive and professional coach Jacqueline Ling. Her presence gave me a complete sense of security. Furthermore, other employees of the company were very friendly and hospitable, and took good care of me when I was dizzy. I am really grateful!

We had never dived before and wanted to give it a try. Edi and Edi first explained the theory and then taught us all the techniques in the pool. The next day we did two dives at Menjangan Island. The explanation and guidance from Edi was really super. He explains everything clearly and calmly and ensures that both he and you have the confidence that you have mastered all techniques well before you proceed. Edi and his colleagues are experienced and passionate divers and transfer both their knowledge and enthusiasm to you. Although we were quite excited beforehand, Edi gave us confidence and the diving was very cool to do. The reefs of Manjangan are beautiful, we would not have missed this!

We went with friends, my daughter and more kids did the Discovery and after the dive, I did a refreshing and 2 dives. Karen and all the staff, the guide divers, took care of us at all times and had an amazing experience diving together. Good equipment and no regrets at all. Thank you!!!
