The Discover Scuba Diving experience is a non-certification program which allows guests to dive without being certified. The entire experience is held within the private beach of the Caribe Hilton Hotel in San Juan. Instructors will guide participants through a short class on the basics of scuba, a pool lesson and a fun dive. Everything is conducted within the hotel facilities and there is no need to travel to any other location. The hotel beach gives access to a shallow dive cove full of fish and much more.

What To Expect
First portion of the activity is the safety briefing, explaining how all the equipment works and what to expect, once that is completed guest will go into shallow water to practice with the instructor.When everyone is comfortable with the breathing and equipment they are taken on the dive.

5.00My best friend & I did this tour together yesterday, & we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better instructor than Jorge. We were lucky enough to have a reduced two-person tour just by happenstance, but even in a larger group, I have no doubt he would have made everyone feel just as supported & comfortable. Jorge was incredibly patient, calm, & knowledgeable. As first-time divers, we were stepping into something completely new, & he had a way of easing us into the experience without ever making us feel overwhelmed. Mind you, it is a mechanically technical sport that required Jorge to check on how we’re doing every 1-3 strides, he’s with you the entire way watching out for your well being as you learn. On top of the physical learning curve he was actively able to alleviate the anxiety/pressure either of us felt both on land & water. He meets you where you’re at, works at your pace, & makes sure you feel confident every step of the way. Beyond being an amazing instructor, he’s genuinely kind, down to earth, & enthusiastic about what he does. His leadership & guidance gave us an experience we’ll remember for the rest of our lives. I truly cannot recommend Jorge enough!

5.00With only a short time in Paris, this direct entry experience was ideal. I got to see the Mona Lisa without spending hours in queues and still had time to explore other parts of the museum afterward.

5.00This was my first time doing Scuba and I went with my wife, our guide/Instructor Jorge was absolutely excellent. He took time with us and explained everything and made sure we both understood and were comfortable with everything Discover Scuba Diving ( DSD) entailed. Jorge took excellent pictures and overall took excellent care of us. I would recommend both this Excursion and Instructor.

5.00We had an amazing time! Zach was an amazing scuba instructor. We were a bit nervous going into it, first timers and all. Zach did a wonderful job easing our worries and we saw so many fish. It was a great blend of learning a new skill and sightseeing underwater. We spent time on land going over safety instructions and hand gestures. Then spent some time in shallow water in full gear learning essential techniques. Finally ended in over 30 minutes (had to be closer to 45 min) actually scuba diving. 15/10 would come back again.

5.00Perfect place to try Scuba for the first time. While I was certified 20 years ago, this was my 15 year old son’s first experience and the instructor had him on the water, practicing the skills, and swimming after just 15-20 minutes of introduction.
