While not a scuba certification course, Discover Scuba Diving is a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world. Athens coastline is ideal for beginners to dive with its warm water, great visibility and a stone's throw from Athens center. In crystal clear warm waters, you will discover what it is like to breathe underwater for the first time. The marine life you will admire will consist of eels, octopuses, sea basses, breams and schools of a wide variety of Mediterranean fishes and lots of macro creatures.

After your dive, there is an optional stop at a traditional Greek restaurant nearby where you can taste Greek delicacies and a nice wine.

What To Expect

After picked up from your private sedan or minivan, enjoy the scenic drive to the diving spot. As soon as you reach the dive site, your experienced instructor will make a short briefing on what to expect and the few simple skills you'll need to know to dive safely, such as mask clearing, how to equalize your ears to the water pressure, regulator usage, proper fin kicking and basic hand signals. Your instructor will also provide all the basic scuba gear you’ll use, which is well maintained every year. This will include a mask, fins, regulator, buoyancy control device, wet suit, dive gauges and a tank. After the briefing, it will be time for the thrill. In no more than 30 feet (10 meters) deep in crystal clear warm waters, you will discover what it is like to breathe underwater for the first time. The marine life you will admire will consist of eels, octopuses, sea basses, breams and schools of a wide variety of Mediterranean fishes and lots of macro creatures. Children (minimum 12-years-old) must be accompanied by an adult. • Diving within 24-hours of flying is not recommended. Some pre-existing medical conditions (e.g. asthma, heart conditions, etc.) may prevent you from diving.

My diving experience with Dimitris and Jaison was absolutely fantastic. Despite being hesitant since I didn't know anything about Greece, their professionalism and expertise made me feel confident and safe throughout the dive. Dimitris is a highly experienced instructor who took the time to guide me patiently, while Jaison was a great driver and support crew. The whole team was friendly, professional, and ensured I had an unforgettable adventure. I also got some amazing photos to remember the trip. I highly recommend this crew to anyone looking for a top-quality diving experience. Truly an unforgettable adventure!

The pick up was on time and our driver Harry was very informational and kind. Alexandra had everything we needed for a perfect dive. The water was so clear. We were able to see Urchin, fish and even a sea cucumber. Our lunch was authentic and fantastic. After lunch Harry even made a special stop to show us the changing of the guards. A must do tour.

Fantastic experience! We were picked up from our home and taken to the dive spot. The diving instructor was great and made sure we felt safe. Our driver Anthony gave us a traditional Greek snack on the way back!

We had a great day checking off a bucket list item to scuba dive in the Aegean Sea! George picked us up from our hotel in Athens right on time and dropped us off at the location 30 minutes away! He was very personable and gave us a private tour all the way to the location. Vasilis was amazing during the dive. I panicked a little at the beginning and he was patient. He held my hand during the beginning of the dive until I was comfortable on my own. He kept checking on us the whole time. He knew my husband was comfortable and gave him the freedom he needed while sticking with me. It was a very relaxing afternoon, and I would do it again! George picked us up and took us to a very nice restaurant on our way back to the hotel we're I had a very nice salad and my husband had a scrumptious veal stroganoff. Excellent conversation and a very comfortable ride in a beautiful van. Highly recommend this tour!!!!

I had a great day. Alexandra was a great dive guide and very patient. Nick took special care of us getting to lunch and the Parthenon with plenty of time to get back to our ship. Excellent service.

We came in by cruise ship and wanted to go diving but wanted to make sure we made it back in time. Even though we are experienced divers, diving one tank is still a great experience. The instructor (guide for us) Nikos was great and made it an easy dive. Our driver for transportation George was also amazing, he stayed with us the whole time and asked if there was anything we wanted. Gave us information/history about Athens. All around worth spending the money on it.
