Our interest is to preserve our culture and the use of medicinal plants in such a way as to also generate income for the surrounding communities.

5.00We spent an enchanting half-day with Raul and his grandmother in their authentic village high above Pisac. Raul is a terrific guide, sharing his fascinating knowledge of local Inca culture and his own life story. We walked through the picturesque village, learning about medicinal plants, agriculture, religion and way of life. We warmly recommend this tour.

5.00We appreciated that Raul was able to take us off the beaten track (suggesting options beyond the handful of sites which are always visiting on tours), customise experiences upon request, and suggest transportation options suited to all budgets, from private taxis to accompanying guests on public transport. He is multi-lingual, speaking English, Spanish, and Quechua, and he is able to share myths and traditions across languages and cultures.

5.00Raul the guide was great and professional :) He took us on a fascinating tour with his personal story and that of his family, and following the ancient tradition of the Incas… While touring the mountains with his lovely grandmother, he taught us about the medicinal plants in the area and their properties. About the way they lived once and until today… In short, it was fascinating. I don't want to elaborate too much so as not to spoil the experience :)

He clearly communicated all of the details in advance and shared so much fascinating information throughout the tour. We felt so welcome in their village and the land was so breathtaking. 5.00Raul is the owner and operator of tours for this company and his tours are exceptional. We toured many areas with him, including Machu Picchu and Cusco, but my favorite tour by far was the personal tour of his village near Pesac. We met his grandmother and walked the lands to learn about Peruvian farming, local medicinal herbs, and the challenges of terrace farming and climate change. Raul is a wealth of knowledge and speaks excellent English. He is trustworthy, kind and very kind! I highly recommend him for your adventures in Peru!
