What To Expect
Before 1870, this area was part of the Nieuweroord Park. After the construction of the Main Building I of the Dutch Railways, a small park emerged in front of the building. The avenue south of it was called Moreelselaan.
Mariaplaats is a square in the Dutch city of Utrecht, named after the vanished Maria Church. Around it was a large square, of which the parts to the north and east of the former church still exist, together forming current-day Mariaplaats.

Fun walk, with laughs, but don't book with Viator.

4.00We've had fun with this escape game walk through Utrecht as far as we could walk. BUT, I wouldn't book the tour via Viator anymore, but directly with Outside Escape. First of all, I received 3 wrong coupon codes to activate the tour. Second of all, viator mentions the wrong starting point (Moreelsepark). The website of Outside Escape mentions starting point Kroonstraat, which is the right point to start. Because we didn't know the latter, we lost 30 minutes in this walk and had to stop half way, because we had to go to our dinner. Really a pity we could finish. Also, no compensation is offered.
