Amazing day , extremely well organised and so much fun, our guide on the snorkelling section which we were called dolphin group was MIA and she was fantastic, made sure we were all ok as we entered the water and ensured anyone who needed any assistance felt comfortable and at ease, and despite the current being quite strong on the day as we entered the wrecks she was able to guide us to areas that were not so strong , The breakfast was very nice but the lunch was amazing especially the fresh king prawns

We were a group of 6 and thoroughly enjoyed the day. A boat trip to visit ship wrecks and to snorkel and swim amongst the fish. Time spent lounging on the beach, swimming etc. Also included snacks and lunch. There were plenty of staff who were all very friendly and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend. Superb trip.

One was divided into 2 groups. A group snorkeled first after the almost 2-hour drive, my group had to wait until 13:30. During this time you could eat and bathe around the boat. After that came a smaller boat which took us to the wrecks. We didn't like the snorkeling at all. 5 groups of 15 people + groups of other providers snorkeled at the same time, you swam into each other constantly and I could enjoy it zero. In addition, the water is rather cloudy. Was mass handling for us. The Eco Marine Tour was also disappointing. You only go back and forth with the boat 2x in the hope of discovering something, with us that was unfortunately nothing... The food was also very deficient for vegetarians, Afternoon Tea consisted only of melons and only tap water and coffee from bags was included. The boat and crew were great, but you expect something completely different from the tour, especially for the price...

  • Oversold experience!

This was 1 of the experiences we had booked that I was most looking forward to as part of our Australian holiday, but it did fall short of the mark. It was smooth sailing to the island, and we were warmly welcomed by someone dressed as Santa so it was off to a good start. We wanted to buy a couple of things from the shop, but their card machine wouldn't accept any of cards (internet issue) so we spent ages walking to the ATM and back to buy some essentials. Due to this rushing around, we didn't have time to grab lunch with our vouchers before our snorkelling as this was a prebooked time we were given when arriving on the island. Snorkelling was booked in for 1pm, but we didnt get onto the boat until 2pm due to other guests arriving late, so in hindsight we wished we had grabbed some lunch, as we were standing around sweating in wetsuits for a long time. The snorkelling of the wreck wasn't in very clear water, and lasted about 40 minutes, before we re-boarded the boat and went back to the watersports centre. Unfortunately by the time we walked back to the main area for lunch, we had missed lunch time at all venues except the coffee shop, so our only options were sandwiches and cakes. By this point (3:30pm), we took what we could get. Spent a lovely couple of hours in the sunshine on the beach - it is a truly spectacular island! Be sure to get a photo on the laying down palm tree. What let this experience down is the dolphin feeding. We arrived at the feeding point at 6:45pm as specified, and the queue for the feeding was HUGE. When we finally made it onto the beach in rows of lines, we were then told because of the number of people it was 1 fish PER GROUP. So all 3 of us had paid for the dolphin feeding, to only have 1 fish for our daughter to feed a dolphin. The experience had been hugely oversold by the company, and this made the day feel very commercialised overall. During our Oz holiday, we went on another snorkelling trip with Ocean Free to Green Island and snorkelled the Great Barrier Reef, for £40 more (for 3 of us) - this experience was 100x better, and will be a lasting memory for us all. In hindsight, we all agreed we'd have rather have done that day twice instead of Tangalooma. It was a good day out, but beware of paying for extras like the dolphin feeding, as this was not worth the money.

Great day out! Professional crew looked after everyone and made sure we had a great experience and arrived home safely. Buffet lunch was a good selection and the bar well stocked! Everyone on the boat was tuckered out by the time we returned across the bay. Well done guys :)
