  Johnny is one of the most charismatic and truly fun tour guides we’ve ever had! He’s knowledgeable, flexible, ensures our needs our met, and tailors the experience to what we want. He showed us authentic aspects of Duoro we’d never have seen otherwise, relying on local connections and relationships. He was born to do this work! Bravo, Johnny!!

  The tour with Jonny was an all-round successful and unforgettable day. Initially we were a bit skeptical about having to start at 08:00 in the morning during our holidays – but it was absolutely worth it! Jonny gave us exciting insights into Portugal and especially the beautiful Douro Valley with a lot of charm and knowledge. The ride in the van was very pleasant, and thanks to Jonny's humor and entertainment talent, time flew by. A special highlight was the fantastic winery with the port wine tasting – we would have loved to stay there right away! However, we would have missed the delicious lunch in an equally idyllic place. Plus the boat tour on the river- it was wonderful. The tour took place in a small group of only 8 people, which created a very personal and relaxed atmosphere. We had a lot of fun and were able to get to know the country and people in a very special way.

  We had a really nice time that day. Communication with Local Experiences Portugal was easy and straightforward. And very reliable. We had a great focus on a German tour, which was also very well met. Even if it is not possible in all cases, because the individual parts of the tour do not always speak German of the owners, owners or other parts of the company. Nevertheless, we were all able to communicate very well and everyone is very eager to help. The tour with all the components was great. We had a wine demonstration at its finest. The boat tour was good and sufficient. The stopover at the viewpoint was great (as you can see from the pictures). The food was just awesome. The subsequent walk was good and informative, with beautiful motifs. And the pick-up and drop-off service was fun, entertaining and entertaining. You just have to come to the Douro valley :-).   The trip was amazing.Johhny was a great host and tailored the tour to the group.Everything was bespoke from the wines and the food which were all excellent. The added touch of sparkling and local soft cheese and crackers was really special.All this in a comfortable van with great views and music.

  We spent a great day in the Douro valley and surroundings. Jonny had a lot of interesting information (in German and English) for us. However, the sound quality of the Bluetooth speaker has some room for improvement. The tasting of the port wines at Croft was fine. The highlight was then an almost family-friendly, typical Portuguese meal at a wine and olive farmer's. Overall a great adventure ride. Danke Jonny. Barbara & Werner

  Tour guide Jonny gave us the Douro Valley scenic and culinary well explained. Jonny was very punctual when picking us up and has us with his friendly nature in perfect German accompanied through the day. We can recommend Local Experiences at any time.

  We had a super great day with Jonny today. He brought us a little closer to the Douro valley with his cool manner and showed us some beautiful, not too crowded, places to discover. Also the lunch and the port wine tasting was great. Highly recommended. Thanks for the great day

  We were allowed to spend a wonderful day with Jónatas and his great VW Bus.He took us to beautiful places and with his open honest and humorous manner brought much of his homeland closer.So we came into contact with wonderful people away from mass tourism 🫶 Thank you very much and good luck☀️ Jeannette and Roman

  My family and I spent an unforgettable day with Jonatas in the Doura Valley today! We have been offered an "all-round package" that we did not expect. On the one hand, through the very familiar wine tasting in the 1st Winery - without wanting to reveal too much - the selection of the program (variety without time pressure), but mainly for the reason that we did not have the impression to do the tour with a guide but with a good acquaintance!
