Matt was a great tour guide. He was easy to understand, knowledgeable, humorous and flexible. He had many briefing materials which he shared with us in the comfort of the coach rather than having to stand outside in the sun. We had a good amount of free time to explore on our own and we saw a lot more with Matt than we would have by doing a cruise ship excursion. I would recommend this tour to anyone.

We took this tour while on a cruise. Very interesting to drive on such narrow country roads! Time to walk around in Canterbury, Sandwich, and Deal. We learned a lot and enjoyed the tour

We did enjoy Matt as our tour guide. He shared LOTS of information and is very knowledgeable. However, we did not get 1.5 hours in Canterbury to have time to tour the Cathedral or 1 hour in Deal to see that castle. Instead (my opinion) too much time was spent at the Memorial, Kent and walking streets in Deal. There were so many great food vendors, but instead it was suggested we get a sandwich at the local "7/11" store and not even in Sandwich.

Lots of (historical) information. Seen a lot. Nice to go on the road with a smaller bus because you can get off faster at a location, but your view is a bit less outside. Mark was our guide and got the most out of the tour. Enjoyed his knowledge and humor.

Mark & Mark gave this tour down pat, timed to perfection for stops and crowd management to stay ahead of the buses. First stop to Battle of Britain memorial for history, remembrance and reflection. Onto the medieval city of Canterbury for a great stop ti see the oldest gate still standing and the Cathedral. Totally worth entrance fee here. Next to stop at rhe surprise town of Sandwhich for another medieval town which was charming. We were lucky to be on a Saturday and the town closed their Square and local roads for local markets in the streets. What a fantastic community vibe Then the highlight was our stop midway between the villages of Ham & Sandwhich, what a load of fun. 😄 Onwards to the coastal town of Peal for an icecream and beachside stroll. Finishing a full day with the Peal Fortress and Dover Castle photo opportunities. Great balance of history, scenery, free time and cheeky humour. Thanks for a great day Mark. The Aussies 🇦🇺

Mark and Matt have this tour down pat. Their timing is everything to beat the buses and keep moving whilst having lots of stops and time to stroll and enjoy. Starting at the Battle of Britain Memorial for history and reflection. Canterbury medieval town was a surprise and the Cathedral was a bonus. Onto Sandwich for a gorgeous medieval town, fortunate to be on Saturday and the town set up markets and closed roads. What a beautiful community. Our #1 was stopping at the Ham & Sandwhich Street sign. 🤣 Finishing in Peal for a seaside icecream and stroll before seeing the Dover castle. A terrific day full of history, scenery and a few laughs. Thanks Mark, live the Aussies 🇦🇺

The day was a combination of drives and exploring on foot, smaller towns and a big city, little known background and highlights. And Matt, our guide, was knowledgeable, informative, enthusiastic, and humourous. I was a bit wary, at first, about an "all day" tour, but Matt's positive and humourous commentary combined with the variety of sights and experiences made this a truly enjoyable and memorable day! When I first met Matt, I commented that I had read a lot of positive reviews about him, and the tour, and he responded something to the effect that "you are never quite as good as other people say"....BUT, YES HE IS! Matt certainly lived up to the hype and we are happy to add to it!!

We only got a glimpse of Canterbury Cathedral through a doorway as the queue to get tickets was so long we would not have been able to get in and out in the time available. The guide seemed to waste a lot of time standing in the doorway of the mini-bus telling us stuff, rather than letting us get out and see stuff. He dropped us off in Deal and we walked a few blocks along the seafront to the designated pick-up point, but there was nothing that great to see.... then we just drove quickly past Deal Castle with no time for a photo stop. Similarly, with Dover Castle, we drove by so fast you could hardly see and there was no time for a photo stop. We spent a long time in one village, where the only thing to see was a post box and a telephone booth, and a long time in another village that we walked through back to the bus. It would have been better to shorten the time in the villages and have time for castle photo stops. It was disappointing as the main things we wanted to see, we didn't get to because of poor time planning.

Matt, Was a VERY good tour guide. VERY knowledgeable, and personable. We picked the tour up at the Dover cruise terminal, and Matt provided excellent instructions on where to find the van. The van was a nice Ford van. The itinerary showed us a great deal lot in the time allotted.
