Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood

Discover what life in Old Dubai was like during the mid-19th century at Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood. Located along the Dubai Creek, this district is a key heritage site with much of the original infrastructure preserved and intact. The traditional wind towers – constructed from sandstone, teak, gypsum, palm wood and sandalwood – represent only a small part of Al Fahidi’s history. Each alley, twisting pathway and breezy tower tells a story of a life before the seven emirates.

My husband and I had a wonderful time with our tour guide Mr. Mohammed Suleman. We were out early on Sunday morning sightseeing. He gave us a brief history of Dubai and allowed us to ask questions, we stopped and he took pics of us at different historical areas and asked us if we would like to stop at certain areas. He was very kind, patient, and allowed us to feel safe and comfortable in the Gold Souk and Spice Souk. Mohammed in my opinion was very hospitable and accommodating to our needs. Would absolutely book a tour with him again.

I have traveled to nearly all of the most famous tourist destinations in many countries, but the tour given by Mr. Mohammed is undoubtedly one of the best tour experiences I have ever encountered. His knowledge and tour guidance provided one of the best educational and sightseeing tours we could have ever imagined. His coordination and execution were superlative. Timeliness was outstanding. Communication skill were that of a professors. Definitely a once in a lifetime experience. I was very impressed with his outstanding service. More to follow.

It was a great half a day tour in Dubai. Pick up was on time in my hotel, and we visited main sites in Dubai. When Muhammad Suleman, the guide, heard that in some sites we were visited before, he replaced these sites with alternative sites and therefore we succeeded to visit places we never heard about before. This guide is highlt recommended. Thank you Muhammad.
