Tokyo: From Geisha Enclaves to Modern Life

Tokyo is a city of skyscrapers—yet along the Sumida River, the Heart of Edo lives on. While Japan’s history spans millennia, the Edo era truly sculpted the profile of modern Tokyo. On this tour, we pedal through layers of time to discover the culture & craftsmanship defining the capital today.

We begin in Yanagibashi, a hidden enclave once cherished by geisha & writers. From there, we follow waterways bridging tradition with modern energy. Ride through the backstreets of Tsukiji, discover the nostalgic charm of Tsukishima, & feel the spirit of Bushido in Ryogoku.

Explore this history on our expertly restored e-bikes, revived by mechanics to reflect the craftsmanship we study. These bikes offer a smooth, mindful way to discover the city.

Building on our 5-star hospitality in Okinawa, we invite you to discover the authentic soul of Tokyo, one pedal at a time.

  • Amazing bicycle tours or night

I joined the evening cycle tour tonight, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. I had an amazing time. The instructions on how to use the bike were very clear, which I really appreciated, and safety was explained thoroughly, making the whole ride feel comfortable and well organized. We visited many different sites and I was able to take some wonderful photographs along the way. What made the tour especially memorable was listening to Yuki explain each location in detail. Knowing what I was looking at and understanding the background of the places we visited made a huge difference and added real depth to the experience. Overall, it was a great tour and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to see Kyoto at night. It’s just as beautiful—if not even better—than seeing it during the day.

The tour was amazing and so much fun! Yuki was kind and patient with us and made sure we were comfortable the whole way. He even planned a little surprise cake and gift for me as it was my birthday! It really made my day. Highly recommend going for this if you’re in Kyoto.

The cycling tour was an amazing way to explore around the Arashiyama area in Kyoto. But what made it even better was our guide Yuki who was super fun, gave us a lot of great information about the area and some history of Kyoto and Japan as well. I wasn’t very confident riding the bike so it helped to have Yuki always check on me and take the tour on everyone’s comfortable pace. 10/10 recommend to anyone visiting Kyoto for a fun and unique experience!

Just wrapped up this wonderful tour with Yuki and I don’t usually leave reviews but this one deserves it. Yuki did a great job taking us on this unique tour, and made sure we were all doing fine, while doing a great job communicating with us the entire tour with some very interesting facts, funny jokes and a very local opinions about food and other spots in Kyoto. Yuki didn’t just give us a tour but lead us through an amazing experience and I can 100% recommend it to anyone looking to discover Arashiyama in a unique way.
