  Eddy is incredible and so knowledgeable. This was one of the best experiences I have ever had. Intimate with no big crowds and Eddy is so passionate about the tour. Night swimming with the bioluminescence under the incredible stars was something I will never forget. You MUST do Eddy’s tour for this once in a lifetime experience. Cannot recommend this enough.

  This was an excellent tour! Eddy is so lovely and knowledgeable, and really made the trip great. We were worried that there wouldn’t be any bioluminescence as it was nearly a full moon but actually we could still see loads and Eddy knew exactly where to go to get the best bits. He’s been doing this for 33 years so really knows his stuff - would highly recommend!

  I recently went to see bioluminescence in Punta Cuchillos with Eddy as a guide. The experience was very good. Eddy knows what he's doing, he was clear with the indications and you rating he's experienced. Bioluminescence looks pretty good, it's something worth living at least once. We could swim and see how the water shone with the movement, which was very special. It is not something you see every day, so if you are close or interested, I recommend it. Very good activity, well organized.

  We cannot write a better review than that stated below -- All we can say is that the experience was fantastic, his passion and insight and desire for Pura Vida was exceptional. He explained and demonstrated the best of Bioluminescenc. Actually through love and not maney its his life to share the experience. My children (11 and 16) have a lifetime memory of swimming with illuminating plankton-- it was magical. Serioulsy forget the commerciaslised Bioluminescence adventure go to Eddy ( not the easiest to fine) but the result is unbelievable . Be prepared for wet feet!! Reviews for Eddy's Bioluminescence in Punta Cuchillos, Costa Rica, are overwhelmingly positive, highlighting the experience as amazing, unforgettable, and magical.   This was an amazing experience. If you think you might want to do it, don't hesitate. From what I can see, if you can make it down a short gravel slope, you should be able to participate. Eddie is a real pro, friendly, informative, safe. Even though we didn't have perfect conditions for the bioluminescence, it was beautiful and magical.

  A bioluminescence experience had been on my bucket list for years and Eddie did not disappoint. As we watched the sky grow darker he chatted with us while he prepared the boats. He is knowledgeable, humorous and so kind. I had originally signed up for a kayak, however he explained with the sky being a bit light from clouds reflecting light he explained the shadow caused by the boats would help with the bioluminescence viewing. He guided us to the best spots, taught us how to get the brightest reactions and then let us swim. The water was bath water warm and as you swim it’s like stirring up bright blue diamonds or twinkling stars. I wish I had photos but you need special equipment which I did not have. I’ll never forget Eddie or the magic (and science) he shared with us that night. He sat in the boat watching over us smiling. He said his favorite part of this was watching people happy. This is a must do if you are in the area or make it a destination. It’s magnificent.

  Unforgettable experience Eddy is an extraordinary guide Done everything we can to see bioluminescence He is a very professional person, with many years of experience and without losing enthusiasm for what he does. Since I'm a guide someday I want to get back with the group. Amazing place and the whole tour very authentic:) It's hard to find places like this and people like Eddie:) Other than that I forgot my pot and wine the next day to approach the ferry. Thanks Eddie.
