02:00 am We start travelling to Egypt westward across the Sinai Desert via the Suez Canal to Cairo. 08:30 Starting a full day tour of Cairo, visiting the Egyptian museum, famous for its antiquities dating back about 50 centuries, including the great archaeological treasures from Tut-Ankh-Amun’s tomb. A visit to the Mummy room entails an additional 100 LE p.p. 13:00 After lunch, we'll visit the Papyrus institute for a demonstration of how paper was made and an explanation of hieroglyphics. 17:00 Arrival to the hotel in Cairo, and a free evening in the city. * We recommend visiting all the beautiful sites in Cairo by night, you can explore the city with a city map given at the hotel.

08:30 am After breakfast we'll visit the Cairo Pyramids and the Sphinx, the only remaining wonder of the ancient world, and as such, the world’s oldest tourist attraction. 11:00 am Tour ancient Cairo. Sakkara lies 25km south of Cairo. Visit Djeser’s (Zosser’s) step Pyramid (built 4700 years ago), which dominates the skyline and is believed to be the ancient Egyptians' first attempt at pyramid building. 14:00 Visit the Bazaar, packed with spices, perfumes, copper ware and trinkets, where those who wish to can purchase souvenirs. 17:00 Leaving Cairo, going to the train station to catch the night train to Aswan.
