Elmina Castle
Reaching Elmina Castle, we will have a tour where we visit the slave dungeons both the male and the female dungeons. We will also visit the forecourt and the door of no return. Elmina castle is the oldest and largest European building in existence below the sub saharan.
Elmina
Elmina is Ghana's top most historical town. On our immersive walking tour, we will visit the Chapel Square which is the center of the town, we will also visit the Nana Kobina Gyan square, the 17th century Dutch cemetery, the fish market village, the first catholic church in West Africa and the Posuban Shrine. We will also have the chance to see a few homes and see some very ancient and historical buildings with great architecture .

5.00My guide, Nana, was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the slave fort and Elmina. He grew up in Elmina and has an intimate understanding of the area and especially the people. Everywhere we went, locals greeted him with smiles and respect. The tour included a tour of the Elmina Castle, a walk through the the key areas of the town, and a casual lunch at a local restaurant. You have the flexibility to lengthen or shorten any part of the experience. I highly recommend this tour!
