This is must see art objective for every visitor. An educational institution once, it is now open for visitors eager to enjoy Moroccan arhitecture and art.

Visited last week just after midday, not too busy, paid on entry. Well worth a visit to see the stunning architecture and beautiful Moroccan tiles. The classrooms are small, with tiny wooden carved doors. Found a bench in the courtyard, in the shade, to sit, watch and chill before venturing back outside to the hustle and bustle of the surrounding souks.

I hadn't visited any before and loved knowing this one, beautiful and full of art, prayers on its walls, coffered ceilings, and passing from the gloom of the cells to the dazzling light of the courtyards.

The space is beautiful and well preserved, the palette of colors are beautiful and the price is affordable... worth the experience. You can walk through the Medina.

  • Elegance and beauty of Moroccan art

After walking the many streets of the nearby Point of Sale, we arrived at the end of the day at the Ben Youssef Madrasa. Since closing time was near we could appreciate the spaces of the structure with very few visitors present. Fantastic central courtyard recently restored: impressive details of marble and wood works. Interesting are the various rooms in which students could attend but unfortunately sparse and devoid of any even minimal furniture that recalled their use. To see the film that illustrates the important restoration that has been able to restore the current beauty of the place.

It is really worth a visit, this school in my opinion is the most beautiful building in Marrakech. They also accept euros to enter but not card payments.

The palace is located at the end of the medina, near the library. A building renovated in detail. I was impressed by the beauty you see inside. There is no line for the ticket office..

Our guide Rachid spoke good English and gave us a nice tour of Marrakech. For the children, a half-day walk was more than enough. Definitely recommended if you are here!
