5.00Loved the freedom to go where we wanted and spend as much time or not where we wanted. A big piece of advice: USE THEIR APP TO TAKE YOU ON THE SELF-GUIDED TOUR. It covers all areas, it doesn’t burn your phone battery up, and you can pause it and spend time in between stops for as long as you want. Their app was SUPER helpful, even telling you things about the area and the places on the “tour”. Also, the people on the island were so friendly and more than willing to help and provide suggestions on the best things to see. We picked up our bikes around 10am and didn’t return until 5pm and we didn’t get to see everything. I definitely recommend spending the day so you can walk the beaches/trails, have a relaxed lunch on the beach AND time to try a couple of wineries or the distillery.

4.00Waiheke Island is beautiful and worth the trip. The pickup point is right at the ferry terminal, so that was very convenient and the staff was great getting us ready to go. There is an app you can download with the recommended route; our problem was that our phone died and we had to resort to using the physical map, which wasn't great. We got lost a couple of times and wound up riding a lot more miles than we expected to. The route is pretty hilly and we were exhausted by the time we finished, despite the help from pedal assist. So make sure your phone is fully charged and you should have a great time!

5.00The map the gave us for the 5 Bays loop was perfect! It was so beautiful and the suggestion to download their app was a good one as you learned a bit of history along the way. The staff was very helpful and friendly and showed us all sorts of highlights on the map. It was the perfect day!
