The island’s winding coastal roads, vineyards, and lookout points were even more enjoyable on two wheels — we could stop anywhere, take in the views, and explore at our own pace. The ride felt equal parts adventure and relaxation. We covered so much more of the island than we could have on foot, yet never felt rushed or tired. Whether we were cruising past beaches, rolling through lush countryside, or navigating scenic hilltops, every stretch of the journey was fun. If you’re visiting Waiheke and want a memorable way to explore, I can’t recommend an e-bike ride enough. 5.00If you’re looking for a wonderful way to explore Waiheke Island, I can’t recommend cycling enough! The scenery is gorgeous, and even in the middle of winter, a sunny day makes for a truly enjoyable ride. The team at eRide were so friendly and helpful, and the bike was both comfortable and easy to use. Navigating with the map was straightforward—I didn’t even need my phone. I tried most of the 5 bays ride, enjoyed a delicious lunch in Onetangi, and ended my day with a glass of wine at Mudbrick, which offers some of the best vineyard views on the island. All in all, it was a fantastic day out!
