What To Expect
Essential Flamenco
We want to recover the intimacy, which was the essence of authentic flamenco. The audience literally stuck to the stage, surrounded by three rows of chairs. No tables, no meals, no distractions. Pure flamenco. The flamenco jondo (jondo comes from deep, deep) combines, in a crucible never seen before, five musical cultures: the local Andalusian folklore, the music that brought the gypsies (that emigrated from India arrived to the south of Spain in the year 1400 ), Arabic music (the Arabs were from the year 700), and also musical features of the Jews and Castilians. It is a music that touches the universal soul.

5.00If you can only see one Flamenco performance in Madrid make sure it’s Essential Flamenco. They do authentic, raw, passionate flamenco. You’re very close to the action in a great venue.

4.00This was a great quick one hour show. The dancers and musicians were very talented. And you get a nice big glass of sangria. The only con I saw was that the seats were a bit tight (and I’m short and petite) - it was close to the stage so hard to the dancers’ feet. But otherwise a great show.

5.00Excellent show, fun for the whole family! The length of the show was just right for my seven-year-old. The earlier you show up, the better your seats. We showed up just on time, but even seats in the back still had a good view.

5.00Loved the history beyond just the dance. The gentleman and lady who danced the Flamenco, put on an outstanding show! The Instrumentalists and vocals set the dance in motion and helped maintain the peak performance. Just loved it!
