Mount Etna
Along the trail that will take us up to 2000mt a.s.l., our guide will tell you about how the highest volcano in Europe was born, without leaving the aspects related to flora and fauna that characterize it. After admiring old and new lava flows we will proceed on foot to the inner part of old craters. The charming panorama and the picturesque scenery will give us the feeling of being on the moon. After a short break, the hike will continue with a visit, carrying helmet and torch, inside a lava cave to admire a unique spectacle. Walking through a luxuriant vegetation, we will finally admire the spectacular Valle del Bove.

Had a great time thanks to our guide Leonardo who has a real passion for volcanoes. I was able to borrow hiking boots (sneakers would be ok but with so much loose gravel, boots are best). I had been worried about being underdressed because the reported temperature at the top was below freezing (this is in late aprili), but a sweatshirt and light jacket were fine. The hike is moderately strenuous but only one hour. We had time for a couple nice breaks on the way up and after our hike to have some food.

Very interesting, fun and comfortable trip around Etna, thanks to our guide Maurizio we also heard a lot of funny and fascinating stories, next to some delicious cantuccini and amazing views.

The tour was overall great! Very responsive tour operator, knowledgeable and nice tour guide, punctual pick-up, small group (8 people). We went to the Refugio and then walked for ca. 1 h in the area. Afterwards we went to a lava cave, and a viewpoint. Only small improvement point: there was no real time to eat some lunch (except in the car).

Perfect experience with Etna East. We did the half-day excursion (Etna Morning) which is recommended for everyone. We were able to see the East side, a lava cave and the Bove valley. From the booking, through the transfer to the wine offered at the end of the visit, everything worked perfectly! Elia and Maria Laura were two perfect guides! Both succeed in transmitting the passion for their work and for their places of the heart. The cost of the excursion includes transfer to and from the structure in which you stay. Perfect for those who do not have a car. Definitely we will return to make the longest hike. Highly recommended! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We made the 5h outing in 4x4 with little ride. The guides and drivers were very friendly the clear explanations but it is clearly not worth the price...Moreover, the Monte Sartorius can be done in free access. Exit well with beautiful view of Etna but if it were to be done again I would put my money in another exit...

The guide and his girlfriend were very nice. His English is not great but good enough. Note that this tour doesn’t take you to the top of the crater; just up to where the gondola starts (it’s broken for the long term). Anyway, hike around lower blowout crater, then get overlook on back side of Etna. Good way to get up there and price is reasonable. Not bad.

The weather is not in command, a potentially disastrous day, in the middle of a cyclone, with abundant snowfall at high altitude.... Instead, thanks especially to the guide Maurizio, who with his calm and experience changed the itinerary in the race and in the end luck helped the bold! From the lava flows of 92 in Zafferana Etnea, to the visits to the tunnels dug by lava, to the walk in the snow on top of a sylvestrian crater, complete with a toast at high altitude with wine and biscuits, it was a beautiful experience, recommended even to those who are not experts in trekking and mountains.

We had a great time! Etna was beautiful with the snow and this trip was a perfect way for our family (7yo and 10yo kids) to learn about the vulcano and see the craters up close. The kids loved the cave too. Thanks to our guide Elio for a great day, we will definitely be back!

Loved the trip. Despite rather cloudy weather. But also shocked to discover that Etna is covered in deep snow at this time of year. So the hike was pretty challenging. Footwear with more grip and trousers that were a barrier to snow going into shoes would have been preferable. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable going into detail about the geological changes over time.
