What To Expect
Etna Est
Start from your accommodation.
Mount Etna
Along the trail that will take us up to 2000mt a.s.l., our guide will tell you about how the highest volcano in Europe was born, without leaving the aspects related to flora and fauna that characterize it. After admiring old and new lava flows we will proceed on foot to the inner part of old craters. The charming panorama and the picturesque scenery will give us the feeling of being on the moon. After a short break, the hike will continue with a visit, carrying helmet and torch, inside a lava cave to admire a unique spectacle. Walking through a luxuriant vegetation, we will finally admire the spectacular Valle del Bove.

5.00We recommend this tour. We stopped at three sites on Etna. Our guide told us all about Etna and made sure we were all comfortable with what we were doing. We went up to visit a crater, which was really interesting. My husband went into the lava cave. Thank you for the wine and almond biscuits.

5.00Must see if you are in the vicinity. Climb by easy car to the Sapienza shelter and then depending on the weather walk through the lower craters or cable car to the upper ones. In any case, you have to go up to Etna.

5.00Great experience! Were picked up from the hotel and drove to Mount Etna, there about an hour tour to a crater. Was not without it because it was very cold and windy. So don't forget warm robe and good footwear, incl. hat!! Was impressive anyway. In a lava cave we were equipped as well, with helmet and flashlight, and were served cantuccini and sweet wine there. The valley was unfortunately not possible to visit because the road was closed due to the weather. But it was also such a great half day with exciting impressions.

5.00Had a great time out today with a quide by the name of Leonado. My girlfriend and I were concerned that our booking would get postponed due to weather for a second time, but instead we were green lit and had a wonderful time with the knowledgeable Leonado. A comfortable ride in a cuisy van with only one other on tour in this quiet part of the season. But our guide really keep us all in good spirits and provided lots of local information that was appreciated. I look forward to retelling stories of hiking on a volanco during a hailstorm, what a blast! Thanks guys! 🤙
