Mount Etna
Along the trail that will take us up to 2000mt a.s.l., our guide will tell you about how the highest volcano in Europe was born, without leaving the aspects related to flora and fauna that characterize it. After admiring old and new lava flows we will proceed on foot to the inner part of old craters. The charming panorama and the picturesque scenery will give us the feeling of being on the moon. After a short break, the hike will continue with a visit, carrying helmet and torch, inside a lava cave to admire a unique spectacle. Walking through a luxuriant vegetation, we will finally admire the spectacular Valle del Bove.

This is a great introduction to Mt Etna but if you want more time exploring and hiking, choose a different tour. Our guide was excellent and really good at explaining the geology and the history of Mt Etna. I was hoping for a good two hours of crater walking but we barely had an hour.

First of all, the scenery was amazing and Leonardo was very friendly. But we were disappointed with the amount of information provided. We signed up for an English tour but ended up with one italian woman with her daughter that occupied the vast majority of the time. Also, we assumed we would see the active volcano but we did not.

Leonardo, our guide, was exceptional. Super prepared, very kind and efficient. He was able to guide us with professionalism and make us appreciate this magnificent place. Lots of valuable information, presented with sympathy and knowledge. The volcano is wonderful and the outing was perfect for organization and ability to interest young and old along the way. Absolutely recommended

Lucky day after the morning rain, cleared up the clouds on top of Mt Etna. Leonardo was very good in keeping us on track. It was the right amount of time to see Mt Etna and little bit of Catania in one day Definitely need to return to Sicily.

The weather was poor but at no fault of the tour guides, given the weather they still provided a great experience and lots of facts regarding the volcano and its connection to Italy. Given it's a sunny day we would defiently do this again.
