What To Expect
Etna Est
Start from your accommodation.
Mount Etna
Along the trail that will take us up to 2000mt a.s.l., our guide will tell you about how the highest volcano in Europe was born, without leaving the aspects related to flora and fauna that characterize it. After admiring old and new lava flows we will proceed on foot to the inner part of old craters. The charming panorama and the picturesque scenery will give us the feeling of being on the moon. After a short break, the hike will continue with a visit, carrying helmet and torch, inside a lava cave to admire a unique spectacle. Walking through a luxuriant vegetation, we will finally admire the spectacular Valle del Bove.

5.00Lucky day after the morning rain, cleared up the clouds on top of Mt Etna. Leonardo was very good in keeping us on track. It was the right amount of time to see Mt Etna and little bit of Catania in one day Definitely need to return to Sicily.

4.00Leonardo was great!! The cave tour was really cool!! Wish we did more hiking while at Etna. There was a higher “summit” that most people were doing that looked like a lot more fun than the small loop we ended up doing. Perhaps skipping the lava flow at the winery would have provided more time to hike. Lunch at the location was very delicious and seller enjoyed the special treat at the end.
