What To Expect
Etna Est
Start from your accommodation.
Mount Etna
Along the trail that will take us up to 2000mt a.s.l., our guide will tell you about how the highest volcano in Europe was born, without leaving the aspects related to flora and fauna that characterize it. After admiring old and new lava flows we will proceed on foot to the inner part of old craters. The charming panorama and the picturesque scenery will give us the feeling of being on the moon. After a short break, the hike will continue with a visit, carrying helmet and torch, inside a lava cave to admire a unique spectacle. Walking through a luxuriant vegetation, we will finally admire the spectacular Valle del Bove.

1.00Our guide was good. The schedule was bad. We gave 60 euros and entered a cave, two craters in unknown trees, and ate our own sandwiches in the crater, and the tour ended. No, we saw the meat, what you see from the center, we saw it. Funny. I bet 35 euro tours are better.

5.00The guide was perfect: she knows her work very well and has a lot of knowledge about Mount Etna and its surroundings. The driver was also very kind and professional. The organization was perfect, driver on time, radio in the second car to communicate with the guide throughout the journey and small glass of local wine offered at the end. On the other hand, it is more a site visit than a real hike. We spent more time by car than walking because of the distance between the different points of activity. On the other hand it allowed us to see and visit a little more the small village around Etna and it was very good. The program included a view of a lava flow, a visit to a cave, then a short hike of about 45 minutes to see a crater and enjoy a superb view of Catania. If you want to discover Etna and its surroundings without too much physical effort, I recommend this excursion 100%.

5.00Positive experience and super recommended. We were a group of friends of 4 people and Elia (our guide) was very helpful, professional and explained many curiosities about the volcano Etna. It all ended with a wine tasting in the cellar and lunch.

4.00We did not go to the top (what was not agreed anyway) however due to the weather condition we could see only one crater as we got stuck in the snow. Nonetheless the tour guide is very nice and competent and looked for alternative solution.

5.00Beautiful trekking on Etna, we saw the sylvester craters and wow, what an impact... walking on snow and volcanic sand... in short, a show! Elia a super guide, accompanied us in this adventure transmitting his great passion for the mountains and volcanoes! Super recommended!

5.00THE TOUR was perfect- excellent Mrs. blonde who was our guide, assistant, bus driver- punctuality and German precision with Italian sympathy- unique but : I hoped to see ETNA erupting even if not close up . I arrived in Catania in these days precisely as a function of the volcanic activity illustrated everywhere even on TV - shame !
