What To Expect
Arrival in Kathmandu
Thamel
Our airport representative will pick you from the airport and escort you to the hotel/hostel where you stay. You will be introduced to the guide during your meet with us in the evening. We check your equipment and suggest if you should buy or rent some before going to the trek.
Flight to Lukla and trek to Phakding
Flights to Lukla
We begin our trek to the Everest Base Camp with a thrilling flight to Tenzing Hillary Airport, Lukla. We will trek up to the Phakding village, where we will spend our night.
Trek to Namche Bazaar from Phakding
Namche Bazaar
Crossing the Dudh Koshi river and passing through Monjo village we enter to the Sagarmatha National Park. Walking through the dense forests we reach at Namche Bazaar.
Acclimatization Day
Everest View Point
We will stay at Namche bazaar to adjust with the climate and the altitude. We will hike up to the Everest Hotel from where we can see the spectacular views of the Mt. Everest, Ama Dablam, Mt. Thamserku, Mt. Lhotse, etc.
Trek to Tengboche
Tengboche Gompa
We continue to the trail leaving Namche Bazaar behind. Passing through the juniper and rhododendron forests and the stunning views of the mountains along the trail, we reach to Tengboche. We will visit the biggest monastery, Tengboche Gompa of the Sagarmatha region.
Trek to Dingboche
Dingboche
We get to the Dingboche village, crossing the Imja Khola, and walking through the trails offering the panorama of Island Peak and Ama Dablam.
Acclimatization Day - Dingboche
This is our second acclimatization day. We have the option to hike to Nangkartshang Peak (5083 m) or Chhukung Ri (5546 m). We can view the majestic views of Everest, Ama Dablam, Island Peak, Pumori, etc.
Trek to Lobuche
We will continue towards Lobuche walking on an uneven rocky path. The views of Mt. Pumori, Mt. Nuptse, Lobuche Peak, etc are remarkable along the way to Lobuche.
Trek to Gorakshep to Everest Base Camp and Back to Gorakshep
Mount Everest
Today we have a long day walk through Khumbu Glarier to the Everest Base Camp and return to the Gorakshep. You can view the Khumbu ice fall from the Everest Base Camp.
Hike to Kalapatthar and go to Pheriche
Mount Everest
We hike up to the Kalapatthar from where we can view the magnificent views of Mt. Everest. Walking through the pathways of lush forests we trek down to Pheriche.
Trek to Namche Bazaar
Namche Bazaar
We reach to the Namche bazaar leaving the mountains behind. We return back crossing suspension bridges and beautiful villages.
Trek to Lukla
Lukla
Passing by the Jorsale and Monjo before reaching Phakding village and crossing numerous bridges over Dudh Koshi river and continuing through the trail, we reach Lukla.
Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu
Lukla
We have an early morning flight to Kathmandu of about 35 minutes. You will free for the rest of the day. You can stroll around the streets of Thamel and buy some souvenirs.
Departure Day
Kathmandu
You can extend your tour to Nepal. Otherwise, our representative will drop you to the airport.

5.00Absolutely outstanding Everest Base Camp trek experience with Nepal Nirvana Trails, expertly organised by KP and his team. From the first airport pickup to the farewell in Kathmandu, everything was smooth, professional, and very well coordinated. KP was always available, responsive, and proactive in handling issues, which made us feel very comfortable throughout. Our guide Man Bahadur and porter Navraj were warm, encouraging, and incredibly hard-working, making sure we were comfortable at every tea house and on every challenging section of the trail. The combination of meticulous planning, genuine Nepali hospitality, and stunning mountain views made this a truly memorable EBC adventure—highly recommended for every adventure seeker.

5.00I cannot say enough good things about Nepal Nirvana Trails. My daughter and I just completed a private luxury EBC trek with Nepal Nirvana Trails in October 2025, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. We spent a long time planning for the trip, and KP (the managing director) and his staff (who are also his family, as it is a family business) were incredibly thorough and responsive to my myriad questions before the trip. Once we were in Nepal, KP went above and beyond time and again to make us feel welcome and ensure our trip – both during the trek and in Kathmandu – was truly memorable and enjoyable. After returning from the trek, we also booked a one-day Kathmandu city tour with him (see my separate review). As an example, he personally accompanied us to the airport to make sure our trip was smooth. Our guide, Bhairas, was fantastic. He was highly experienced, knew everyone on the mountain and at the tea houses, and was always attentive and helpful. He struck a great balance between letting us choose what we wanted to do while providing guidance based on his extensive experience as a guide. Our safety and well-being were always his top priorities. Our porter, Bala, was very helpful as well and worked incredibly hard to make our trip smooth and enjoyable. The trek went very smoothly and we were extremely happy with all the arrangements, including the helicopter transportation and lodging. The tea houses exceeded our expectations and the service was great. Most offered en suite bathrooms, showers, Wi-Fi, in-room charging, and electric blankets – only the last two had shared bathrooms. I want to extend my sincere thanks to KP, Bhairas, Bala, and the entire Nepal Nirvana team for working so hard to give us such a wonderful and unforgettable adventure.

5.00Our Everest Base Camp trek via Gokyo with Nirvana Trails was absolutely incredible. Raju, our guide, made the entire journey unforgettable. He was warm, kind, and genuinely cared about everyone. His deep knowledge of the mountains, patience, and positive energy made every step enjoyable. We built such great chemistry with him and truly felt like we were trekking with a friend. The day we were suppose to fly out was forecasted with bad weather so we decided to squeeze two days of trekking into one, praise to Gunga, our amazing porter who carried our duffles for 32 km on that single day. Raju was quick to adjust the accommodation and contacted Kul who was amazing in quickly rearranging flights and getting us back to Kathmandu early. Everything was handled so smoothly and stress free. I can’t recommend Raju and Nirvana Trails enough. The experience, the people, and the care they put into everything made this a trip truly amazing. 🏔️✨

5.00I was a solo female traveller from India. I went in with a lot of doubts. But KP and team went out of their way ti put me at ease and complete my dream. Even my helicopter back was difficult to get KP ensured I get on to one and get back to Katmandu. The tea houses selected were very good and above the regular available. My guide took special care to ensure comfort. Without their close attention it would not have been possible.

5.00I had a fantastic experience with Nepal Nirvana from start to finish: pre-booking to the actual Everest Base Camp trek. Inquired a few operators back in June 2024 for an April 2025 EBC trek and Nepal Nirvana offered me the best value for money. The short calls initiated by the team/ KP regarding the trek helped to allay my doubts about them. For the trek, KP matched us with a fantastic guide, Ram, who had a great command of English and knowledge of the mountains. Ram took great care of us and the accommodations we were put in were fantastic for EBC. We requested for better accoms and for a small top-up we enjoyed an attached bathroom, hot shower and charging for 10 out of 12 nights. We had also requested to see if he arrange to fly us to/ from Lukla from/ to Kathmandu (instead of Ramechhap) and KP did manage to book us on those flights, even though the weather had other plans about that. Throughtout the trek, Ram meticulously checked in on our needs and All in all, I thank the Nepal Nirvana team for taking great care of us during our EBC trek. Definitely seeking out our next Nepali adventure with them soon!

5.00My Everest Base Camp trek was organised perfectly by KP and team. We were very concerned as it was just me and my 14 year old daughter for the trek. But KP took care of everything! We had the perfect tea houses to stay, very good and experienced guide who kept encouraging my daughter throughout the trek. Moreover, KP himself kept checking on our wellness every day. We did change our plans fairly often but every time KP would accommodate our requests with a smile. We had a very good time. I would recommend Nepal Nirvana to everyone
