We had a great safari. The driver also went where there were no other drivers and so we saw even more animals. Elephants, eagles, jackals, monkeys, even a crocodile.

Isuru was one of the friendliest and most accommodating hosts we have experienced so far in Sri Lanka. We were picked up directly after our arrival by bus from him by tuk tuk and could then move directly into the guesthouse. The location is very quiet in a garden with palm trees and surrounded by rice fields. On the covered balcony you can also very well withstand rainy weather and just relax. The food, both the breakfast, and the dinner were excellent. The Sri Lankan Rice & Curry, all cooked by his wife, tasted particularly good to us. The safari was very well organized and despite rainy weather, it was an incredible experience to see elephants, peacocks and other animals in the wild. The guide was respectful of the animals as well as competent about biological issues. Overall a very special experience and a very good overall package!

The experience exceeded my expectations. It was so exciting to see the elephants so close. A dream come true. We also got to see a lot of birds. The place is very beautiful. I am already planning to come back in the dry season to see the elephants gather around the lake to drink at sunset. Excellent host and they prepared me a delicious breakfast with fruit, pancakes and sandwiches to take on the excursion. Very hospitable and friendly. The guide was also very friendly and gave me a lot of interesting information during the tour. I recommend staying there to enjoy the experience early at sunrise. Ask here, they have a lovely accommodation in front of some rice terraces very close to the national park. Totally 100% recommend this very exciting experience.
