What To Expect

During La Bandada Experience you will be immerse in the magic of the pampas, that endless land covered with pampa grass and lagoons where gauchos used to live ruleless. A scenery where birds, horses and cattle are the main characters and the sound of nature the main track. You will live in first hand our culture, our traditions and our worldwide famous argentine barbecue!! Upon arrival there is a reception with refreshments and a glass of wine. Then you will learn how the traditional empanadas of La Bandada are prepared and how to make the repulgue. While the asado is being cooked, there is time for a walk or horseback ride to get to know the estancia better. On the way back, the asado is ready: different varieties of meat, with grilled vegetables and salads with vegetables from the garden. In the afternoon, in the corrals there is a demonstration of Gaucho's skills: barrel race and ring game, among other games. Then there is free time to rest, use the bicycles or enjoy the swimming pool. To close the afternoon, a typical "pampeano" tea is served in which, in addition to tea and coffee, mate is served with Creole pastries. We are 120 km from Buenos Aires and 90 km from Ezeiza. We weren't able to experience the adventure in April 2023 because my pregnant wife fell very ill upon arriving into Argentina. La Bandada refused to refund us our money and only offered to reschedule our trip. We informed them that she was very sick and we could not do the trip because my wife was not well enough, but that didn't matter to them. This is callous customer service and future attendees should be aware that they will not refund you your money regardless of any unexpected emergencies that pop up. Buyer beware.
A wonderful ranch to relax and feast

Our three days at La Bandada were extremely relaxing. We enjoyed time at the pool, several horse rides and a birdwatching hike around the ranch. On the grounds there were many different animals —including a variety of birds, ranch dogs, a cat, and a family of peacocks. No matter where you are on the ranch you will be serenaded by the relaxing sounds of birds. The food was spectacular. Breakfast each morning offered eggs to order, ham and cheese, granola, yogurt, bread and croissants, jam and honey from the ranch and fresh squeezed orange juice, At lunch we enjoyed making our own custom made empanadas. The barbecue of sausages and skirt steak, beef ribs and short ribs served with French fries was amazing. At five we were served afternoon tea. At night we had great meals as well: calamari and salmon one night; sweet pork and mashed potatoes another and delicious meat and potato pie. The salads with lunch and dinner were varied and delicious. The staff was extremely accommodating. If you are looking for a place to take it easy for a few days, then look no further. We stayed in a two room suite. There maximum overnight capacity is approximately 16. Wi-Fi connection is not always reliable.
