What To Expect
We are located close to the border between Cunha/Paraty. (Around 45 minutes by car from Paraty entrance). You will go up the Serra da Bocaina park with some nice landscaping and reach altitude close to 1.300mts high, with very nice views. Our Experience includes: * basic riding lessons (for beginners) * horseback riding within a private property (1h15min) * horsemanship experience * Special picnic at the Belvedere * Local History and Nature. * Private Taxi fro pick up and drop off (city center) Total duration is around 5 hours, included the 45 minute drive inside Bacaina Park (both ways). Pick up in the morning is 9am and afternoon is 12:30pm. This activity is exclusive for your group or couple, schedules are Not shared. Minimum 2 and maximum 4 people. Important observations: - dress code: long pants and closed shoes. - please bring repelente, sunscreen and a camera for pics. - animals have feelings and needs caring. - in case of heavy rain we need to cancel the booking. - we wear helmets for the ride.

5.00This experience far surpassed anything I expected. Raul offered much more than just a horseback ride; he was an outstanding instructor and, in a short time, helped us gain a deeper appreciation for the horses and the wildlife in the landscape we explored. We had never ridden horses before, and Raul patiently taught us everything we needed to feel safe and confident in the saddle. He took the time to introduce us properly to the horses so that they could get comfortable with us, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and natural. His two horses, Laredo and Universe, are exceptionally well trained and incredibly patient with beginners like us, and it is clear Raul treats them with genuine care and kindness. The picnic at the end was wonderful, and the scenery from the 1,400 m high ranch was absolutely stunning. Overall, a flawless 10/10 experience.

5.00What a wonderful experience! Learning from beginning to end about horses, about cohabitation, about exchanges, about nature. Raul is very caring and spends a lot of safety and mastery on the handling of the horses and on the horse ride area! Super worth for those who have no experience like me. It was a very delicious walk! Looking forward to the next opportunity to be in this sanctuary which is the Horse Site!
Mountains were viewed from horseback. Our trail ride included some gallops.

5.00Our guide told us stories as we rode our horses along the trail. We got a chance to gallop a couple of times. A very nice picnic was waiting for us as we got to the peak of a hill. From that Hill we were able to look out at the mountains that extended through the states of Sao Paulo, Minhas Gerais & Rio de Janeiro.

5.00Wonderful experience from beginning to end! Raul is an out-of-the-line host — welcoming, caring and conveying a huge love for the place and the animals. The horses are docile, calm and very well cared for, perfect even for those who have never had contact with them. The picnic is delicious and the surrounding landscape is simply stunning, with lively nature and a contagious peace. A tour that renews the soul and makes us want to come back soon. I highly recommend! 🙂

5.00Fantastic horse ride around Raul's property in the hills 45 minutes from Paraty. Raul is very friendly and clearly passionate about his land and his horses, both of which are really well cared for. The views as you ride are incredible, and Raul takes care to make sure you are comfortable with your horse, giving advice as well as explaining the plants, trees and wildlife that you see as you go. The picnic was a really nice touch, in a beautiful spot, and a great way to bring the ride to an end. Highly recommended, a highlight of our Brazil trip.

5.00Raul and his horses are the best! He's such a patient teacher, his 'garden' is absolutely beautiful and the two horses we rode Laredo and Universe are super calm and well trained. It made for a wonderful experience. The picnic towards the end of the ride is really well put together and the setting where you eat it, taking in the view is special. I really cannot recommend Raul highly enough! ❤️

5.00This was maybe the best horsebackriding lesson that I have got on my travels. When I travel, I always want to search for a local stable with a nice vibe, and have one ridinglesson there. This was the best of all the ones I've made. The horses seemed to enjoy their surrounding a lot, and Raul was clearly taking good care of them. The area where we rode was beautiful and wild, and it belonged to the stables areas. The picnic was also nice, but the most special thing was to learn how to ride without a saddle. And the horses! So lovely! I miss them so much! Raul also thought me about the flora and fauna of the area, and i got to bring some pink pepper with me to Finland. Then I was able to tell everyone, that I have been riding as far as where the pepper grows!
