What To Expect
Step aboard our luxurious 48ft sailing yacht Galaxie and embark on an unforgettable crowd-free journey. Our adventure begins by sailing upwind, by motor, for about 1 hour and navigate from the peaceful Spanish Waters along St. Barbara Beach to picturesque Fuik Bay, surrounded by the turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea. Fuik Bay is a gorgeous, sheltered bay that is only accessible by boat. We'll anchor our yacht at swimming distance from the shore and the time is yours to swim, snorkel and relax on deck, while we serve you a delicious variety of (Mediterranean style) food & drinks. With any luck you will sea turtles popping up their heads above water as it is their natural habitat (no turtle feeding here). While snorkeling close to the mangrove plants there's chance of seeing colourful fish, baby-barracudas, starfish and sometimes even rays or octopus. After spending a relaxing time in the bay, we'll sail back to the harbour in about 1 hour, and with any luck, we'll have the perfect conditions for smooth sailing - with the sail on for the part at sea - and catching the stunning sea views and/or beginning of sunset.

5.00Absolutely amazing!!!! We are an American family of 5, and we don’t typically book excursions but we wanted to try something new. We knew the reviews were great but this was well above our expectations. The hosts provide beverages, delicious food and are extremely knowledgeable of the island. The perfect balance of “tour” and private family memories. The hosts also coordinated the taxi for us from our hotel to the harbor. Book this experience 10/10!!!

5.00People always gush about certain excursions this one was truly awesome Hilde and her husband made the trip so easy. They were able to arrange for the transfer to the harbor for us which made the port exit easy and stress free. Once on the boat you get they fill you in on the history of the area. You are transported to a protected bay where the snorkeling is awesome. We were essentially alone the whole time. Hilde made us a homemade lunch that was literally devoured by my family it was delicious. Everything was provided including snorkeling gear noodles etc. We were given great advice as to places to explore in the port on the way back. I highly recommended this excursion to anyone traveling to Curaçao. This was an amazing experience

5.00Pure relaxation. We would highly recommend this excursion. We were in port on a cruise. Hilde and Norbert were gracious hosts on a beautiful boat that they take great pride in. No worries from the moment we left the port and our return. We had Hilde line up transportation to and from the ship for us. The charcuterie provided was enjoyed by all. The water and the snorkel area was beautiful. It was refreshing to have an excursion experience like we had. Thanks again to Hilde and Norbert.

5.00We had a fabulous day sailing around the coast of curaçao with Maxie Sailing. Hilde and Norbert were gracious hosts and great communicators. We were picked up at Sandals resort and escorted to the marina. We had a short safety briefing and sailed to a lovely, private cove and beach where stopped for a swim. We saw sea turtles and a flock of flying flamingos! We toasted with Prosecco and were served other beverages, as well as fresh fruit salad and a gorgeous charcuterie board. I highly recommend this private tour!

5.00This experience was above and beyond what we expected. Maxie sailing was top notch and a must do! Hilde & Norbert were the best hosts from the first contact until they dropped us back off. The experience was priceless and so personal. We were surprising our friend for her 50th birthday. They had champagne upon arrival and decorations for our friend’s birthday. The snacks were homemade and so delicious. They both made this experience so relaxing and fun. We loved every minute of this beautiful private boat ride. I would highly recommend you take the time to book them in Curaçao! You will not be disappointed. We will definitely book again.

5.00We enjoyed our time sailing in Curacao with Maxie Sailing. Hilde and Norbert were very welcoming and are fabulous hosts! We enjoyed champagne, fresh fruit, an amazing charcuterie board and great conversation. Snorkeling was enjoyable and the best part was that we had the cove to ourselves the entire time. Booking was easy and communication was great. The excursion exceeded our expectations and we highly recommend. We will definitely book again!

5.00We had a fantastic time on our sailing. Hilde and her husband could not have been more welcoming. The boat is parked at a beautiful marina and is in great shape. (If coming from the cruise port it’s about a 35min ride) Hilde coordinated a taxi ride to and from the port for a very reasonable cost. We had two children (ages 4 & 14) and they were great with both of them. The boat accommodated the 4 of us very well, we never felt as if we didn’t have enough room. The boat does have a restroom which was very clean. We showed up to the boat with nothing but our swimsuits on. Towels, snorkel gear, drinks, and snacks were all provided. At two different points on our sailing Hilde provided home made snacks. The initial snack was delicious fruit and the final was a charcuterie type board. The board was AMAZING and Hilde homemade most of the items. 10/10 recommend putting this one on your list of must do excursions. We will absolutely be back the next time we are on the island.

5.00From the booking process to the sailing tour itself, Hilde and Norbert were fantastic hosts! They shared clear and concise instructions on where we could meet them at the dock for our afternoon on the water via Whatsapp. They introduced themselves and shook all of our hands, and brought us on deck to get comfortable while they reviewed safety instructions. We then had the whole boat to ourselves and enjoyed sparkling wine, beer, water, and a full charcuterie board that Hilde prepared after we had snorkeled in the cay for ~2 hours. Norbert navigated the waters expertly to avoid any choppiness and we even got to unfurl the sail as we headed back since we had such great winds. Hilde was our photographer for the afternoon - we felt so taken care of! Can't wait to do this again when we return to Curacao. If you're hesitating to book this tour, don't - Maxie Sailing is where it's at!

5.00Maxie Sailing exceeded our expectations. Hilde and Norbert were friendly and inviting; their service was impeccable and their knowledge of the island and its heritage were impressive. The drink and food selection was great but the best part was the beautiful sail boat and the ocean bay where we stopped for lunch and for a swim. We would definitely come back to Maxie Sailing and would recommend the private excursion to anyone looking for a relaxing but also exciting day of fun! Our trip to Curacao would not have been the same without it.
