Our excursion stands out for its comfortable, large and spacious boat. We pay special attention to each of our guests during the excursion. The tour is limited to 10 people on board to make the experience authentic, enjoyable and friendly.

On the program, we plan several visits: the Bay of Fa'aroa with the ascent of a river, the discovery of a botanical garden filled with greenery, the visit of the marae of Taputapuatea a UNESCO World Heritage site and, a relaxing lunch on a motu (island on the sea) with free swimming.

However, it is important to know that in case of bad weather or heavy rain a few days before, the program will be revisited, as the Fa'aroa River will not be accessible by boat.

Soft drinks (fruit juice and water) are provided throughout the tour.

You will need to provide: a cap, a waterproof camera and water shoes for swimming.

What To Expect

Cultural exploration of Raiatea Island

Duration:5 hours

Operating Schedule:Check-out time for the excursion is 9:00 am and ends at 3:00 pm.

The Fa'aroa River is our first stop of the day. We will reach it after crossing the large bay of Fa'aroa. The ascent is by boat depending on the weather conditions and the tide. This river is the only navigable river in French Polynesia. You can admire the magnificent wild approaches that will make you feel different!

The botanical garden is filled with beautiful local fruit plants and trees. The site is within walking distance, when we will have docked the boat on the dock at the end of the river. This tour will be on land where you can admire various green plants and all more beautiful from each other.

The Taputapuatea Marae is the key point of the excursion. You will have the chance to visit this magnificent site by living the history of the Polynesian people through the different stories and legends that your Guide will share with you.

To finish our beautiful afternoon, we will go to lunch on a motu and relax the rest of the afternoon in a beautiful setting surrounded by water.
