5.00It was a great tour. Luis was a great and knowledgeable host/guide. The boat ride was so beautiful and the two who skippered the boat were also great. The lunch provided by Manuela was outstanding! I love her. The wine tasting was fabulous as well. Such a beautiful area and the vineyards and winery were something out of a novel. Family owned. Our host at the winery while the owner was away was so impressive. His English was so good in spite of the fact that he learned it only in a few months. (Wish I could remember his name)

5.00We had one of the best tour guides and the most enjoyable tours we ever experienced. Angie was knowledgeable, engaging, and responsive to our questions and our interests. Her English is excellent on any topic and our interactions could range across a wide range of topics. Her knowledge goes beyond the Douro region, encompasses economics, geography, culture, history and more. She had the right balance between talking, listening, allowing time to absorb, ask questions, be on our own and interact with other providers and guests. Her relationship with the other tour guides, restaurant owners was positive and effective. We felt so very fortunate to have met her. We experienced problems when we were booking and the team at Douro recognized that we’d booked twice on the same day and contacted us to clarify and ensure we didn’t pay twice and that we got on the time slot we needed. They could have easily ignored that and we’d have paid twice. Such great customer service.

5.00An AMAZING day! Paulo our driver and guide was informative, polite, professional while Kalil and Gugu were humourous boat tour fellas! Would definitely recommend if you want to see stunning views, enjoy the magnificent ambiance of two wineries! We especially enjoyed the quaint small group of just 4 couples - intimate and a chance to make new acquaintances and friends!

5.00Pedro was the best tour guide we had during our trip to Portugal! He made our Private Duoro Valley tour and amazing day. We enjoyed visiting two family owned quintas. The personal tour at the first Quinta was wonderful . We loved the delicious lunch with a beautiful view at the second Quinta. We ended the day with a pleasant River cruise. Pedro was knowledgeable, entertaining and so much fun to be with. He made this our favorite day in Portugal! We highly recommend taking this tour with Pedro.

5.00We had a wonderful day with Douro Tours - we got a little bit of everything: learned about and tasted port wine, visited a few vineyards, had a lovely lunch, had a 1 hr boat trip and learned a bit of the history of the region. The real treat was our guide Angela - she was enthusiastic, warm, clear and knowledgeable. She was fantastic!
