Transportation is only included if selected in advance to secure your spot. It comes at an additional cost. There is no Uber, taxi, or public transportation available in the area.
All our groups are 14 people or smaller, for more attention to the guests.
Transportation is not available on Saturdays, Sundays, or for PM tours, and is subject to availability if it was not selected at the time of booking.
Children under 5 years old are not allowed to participate in this tour.
What To Expect
Embark on an unforgettable El Yunque Rainforest adventure on a small-group guided tour from San Juan, Carolina, Luquillo or Fajardo. The experience begins at your selected location—either by following the guide in your own car from Ralph’s Food Warehouse in Fajardo, or by choosing optional shuttle pickup from San Juan, Carolina, Luquillo or Fajardo for a scenic ride into the rainforest. Upon arrival at El Yunque National Forest, receive a safety briefing and life vest before starting a guided hike through lush jungle trails. Along the way, your guide will share stories about the rainforest’s history, wildlife, ecosystem, local legends, and fascinating rainforest plants. After about 25 minutes of hiking, reach a hidden natural pool where you can swim, cliff jump, or swing into the water on a rope swing. Continue to a second secluded pool featuring a smooth volcanic rock natural waterslide. Guests who select the San Juan / Carolina transportation option will also enjoy a stop at the famous Luquillo Kiosks, known for authentic Puerto Rican food, tropical drinks, and views of Luquillo Beach. After the adventure, hike back and enjoy light snacks before returning.

El Yunque Self-Drive
Duration: 3 hours Self-Drive to El Yunque Forest: Follow the guide. Ideal for people who have their own car/rental. Transportation not included or guaranteed.
Shuttle Ride Roundtrip
Shuttle (Luquillo or Fajardo): Includes round-trip transportation only from Luquillo or Fajardo to El Yunque and back. Ideal if you don’t have a vehicle. Duration: 4 hours Important note: This option doesn’t includes San Juan or Carolina as pickup location. Pickup included
San Juan/Carolina + Beach Stop
Luquillo Beach Break: Swim, eat, and unwind before heading back stress-free. Must select this transport option before booking to secure spot. Duration: 6 hours: Includes 1 hour stop in 'Luquillo Beach' to relax by the sea and taste authentic Puerto Rican cuisine. From San Juan or Carolina: Ride in a comfortable vehicle to El Yunque. Pickup included

5.00This was one of the best excursions we’ve ever experienced in Puerto Rico we had so much fun in the waterfalls and doing the water slides the instructor was very friendly very attentive to everyone and the adventure so much better! We got to learn and experience some of the roots of Puerto Rico and the beautiful rainforest El Yunque! We will be returning again and bringing the family really soon. We highly recommend this to anyone who wants to explore the nature side of Puerto Rico and seeking adventure!

5.00What a fantastic experience! From friends that have also experienced it, I kept hearing how I must check out El Yunque on my visit to PR. I went with a few friends. The sights on the car ride there was great, but getting to El Yunque and experiencing it was even better. Such a beautiful atmosphere, I loved every minute of it. Ivan was our designated driver and our tour guide - he made everyone feel very welcomed to PR and El Yunque. I felt very safe throughout the entire journey, from the car ride to El Yunque, to the tour at El Yunque, and the car ride back. All very safe, and a fun experience! Ivan made sure that nobody was left behind - everyone on our tour was accounted for. On top of that, Ivan took excellent photos for everyone, and made sure that we all safely navigated through the rainforest. On top of that, Ivan explained some of the history behind El Yunque and Puerto Rico - we learned a LOT! Ivan is an exceptional and expert tour guide - I strongly recommend him! Thank you, Ivan! And thank you Puerto Rico!

5.00The guide we had was incredible and very personable. He showed us the flora of the forest and provided historical facts as he took us through the forest. He ensured safety and comfort and explained the tour in great detail as to what we would do and how. We had an amazing time and it was great to see the forest in the manner we did. We appreciate the tour and would return!

5.00This was one of the best experiences I’ve had in my life. The hike was challenging and beautiful. Our tour guide was Migael. He was knowledgeable and very patient especially with me since I can’t swim. . He provided snacks and water. Prepare to get wet and be tired.

2.00First, time of tour was changed. I was not asked if the new time would work for me. Second, I was told to meet in back of parking lot, that too was changed. Third, there were not entrance fees or parking fees to pay though it says both were included in price. Fourth, tour guide was not friendly. The only thing he told us about was one type of plant and that Washington and PR both have rainforest. He did not share the culture and of things stated in description. Fifth, no where in the description did it say the hike would be three miles long and end with having to jump off a cliff. This is not for the faint of heart and not for young kids. Finally, no snacks or drinks were provided and we were not driven back to the pick up location as the description said. I would not recommend this tour! The is a total disconnect between what was written and what we got.
