With over 5 years of experience as a tour guide, I offer a unique opportunity to explore Jaffna. My passion lies in the way travel connects people, and having been a lifelong resident of Jaffna, I bring a perspective on its traditions that few others can. Exploring Jaffna with me ensures a deep dive into its culture, history, and lifestyle.
Travelers can join me on my motorcycle, or if they hold a license, I can provide them with a motorcycle while accompanying them on another. This flexibility allows for a personalized experience where they can stop and immerse themselves in locations that interest them, enjoying a 360-degree view of the surroundings.
Our motorcycles are in excellent condition and are ideal for exploring Jaffna. There are no additional charges for fuel, and I ensure a safe journey, guiding and supporting travellers throughout the tour. As a memento of the experience, each traveller receives a unique wooden key tag.

The motorcycle driving is allowed only for the licensed and experienced participants.
Our drivers will drive for the participants without driving license.

5.00Had a fantastic tour with Arun today, going all around Jaffna on a motorbike to the Nallur Kandaswamy Devasthanam Hindu Temple, the Jaffna Kingdom ruins, the Public Library, and finally the Jaffna Fort at sunset. Arun is incredibly knowledgeable and ready to answer any questions, of which I typically had many. The perfect way to start my time in Jaffna and get an overview of the history here - of Sri Lanka, the Tamil culture, Hinduism, and the recent history of the Civil War. Highly recommend this company!

5.00Arun is a highly knowledgeable and passionate guide. As someone whose roots are in Jaffna but didn’t grow up there I was not aware of the history pre dating colonial times. The tour which was just a day taught me more about our history than I could have imagined and I left feeling closer to Jaffna - historically and culturally. Arun gave detailed explanations of each place we went to whether it be Nallur Temple or Jaffna Fort. Highly recommend this tour and will definitely be recommending this tour to friends and family venturing to Jaffna!

5.00We had been to Sri Lanka three years ago, but this holiday exceeded all our expectations. We visited Colombo, Trincomalee where we spent 3 days, and another 6 days on our way to and in Jaffna. The last day we enjoyed on the island of Delft. We saw a lot of sights, for which we received an incredibly comprehensive briefing from Arun, which helped us to learn and understand the history of Sri Lanka. We fished, snorkeled, cooked local dishes, visited an amusement park, watched crocodiles and other animals, met local people and admired their customs, and did many other activities. The whole holiday was well organised, the accommodation and food were faultless. Arun's English is excellent so you don't have to worry about not understanding anything. I can only recommend Explore Yarl. Thank you very much ! Renata

5.00Arun was our guide for 2 days on a short tour of Jaffna and completely exceeded our expectations. I was seeking a basic understanding of Jaffna life but what I got was an extensive lecture on the history, culture, politics and geography of the city and the region. He was also very good at showing us the beauty of the region driving us through the islands via causeways and ferries. It was fantastic to have such a knowledgeable guide that enabled us to get the best from the short visit.

5.00My brother (from overseas) and I (Sri Lankan) visited the Jaffna peninnsula and were fortunate to have Arun as our guide. We weren't the typical tourists and rather than visit tourist spots, wanted to interact and get a deep understanding of the culture and lifestyle of the people. Arun understood our requirement and adapted with ease. His knowledge was far beyond what we expected. It was insightful and enriching. We were very satisfied and happy with Arun as our able, knowledgeable and adaptable guide.
