What To Expect
Rock tombs in Myra
Myra was a Lycian, ancient city on the present Teke peninsula of west Turkey current Province of Antalya which became the small town of Kale, renamed as Demre in 2005. It was founded on the river Myros / Demre Çay, in the fertile alluvial plain between the Taurus Alaca Mountains, the Massikytos range and the Aegean Sea.
Church of St. Nicholas
The church of St. Nicholas at Myra was built by the Eastern Roman (Byzantine) Empire in the 6th century. The current-day church was constructed mainly from the 8th century onward for the city's Byzantine Greek inhabitants; a Greek Orthodox monastery was added in the second half of the 11th century.

5.00Yusuf was the perfect guide for us. I have a mixed family who speak both Deutsch and English. He spoke both languages for us, provided lots of history on the places we visited, and had a good sense of humor! We went with his suggestion for lunch and were not disappointed. We were not rushed and our guide was on time. I highly recommend this personal tour. A few tips. Bring Turkish Lyra, and your swim stuff.

Yusuf was an excellent guide giving us great insight into the tour highlights and Antalya/Turkey in general - he is very knowledgeable and personable. Lunch was excellent and the sights were not crowded at all. We thoroughly enjoyed the day, thank you Yusuf!

5.00The best tour I’ve ever been on! Yusef was such a knowledgeable guide, and he put all the sites into context with his engaging explanation of the region’s history. Myra was remarkable, and the sunken city boat trip was beautiful. The included lunch was one of the best meals we had on the trip. I can’t recommend this tour enough!

5.00This was the best tour ever. Yousef was our guide and he took such great care of us. After the boat ride he took us to a local restaurant for lunch and it was delicious. He is so knowledgeable and gave us a very detailed history of the area and could answer all our questions Can’t recommend this tour more!!!
