Serengeti National Park

Start your day with an optional sunrise game drive in the Serengeti plains. Early morning is a prime time to witness predators: Lions and cheetahs may still be active from the night hunt. Leopards are often seen descending from trees. Large herbivores like buffaloes, zebras, and giraffes are on the move. As you leave the Serengeti and enter the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, the landscape changes dramatically: From flat plains to rolling highlands, forests, and Maasai villages. You may encounter Maasai herders, donkeys, and even wildlife like giraffes and elephants on the roadside. Welcome to Simba A Campsite, perched right on the Ngorongoro Crater Rim. Wake up early — it will be cold and misty due to the high elevation. Enjoy a hot breakfast (tea/coffee, toast, eggs or porridge) prepared by your safari cook. Pack up tents and gear; load the safari vehicle. Use the bathrooms (note: basic facilities and no hot water) What Clients Can Expect to See: Lions: Resident prides are commonly seen hunting or resting in open grass. Black rhinos: One of the last places in Tanzania where you can spot them in the wild. Elephants: Particularly older bulls with massive tusks. Jackals, warthogs, and sometimes cheetahs or leopards. Ascend the Crater and Begin Return Journey to Arusha Begin your ascent up the crater wall, heading toward the Loduare Gate (Ngorongoro exit). You'll pass beautiful views back across the crater, possibly with Maasai cattle and herders along the rim.
