This is not a fixed-location tour—we follow the weather and aurora forecasts to find the clearest skies each night. Some evenings we stay near Sortland, other times we drive over the mountains in search of open sky. You’ll travel in a warm vehicle, enjoy hot drinks and snacks, and receive free aurora photos taken by your guide. Along the way, you’ll learn about the Northern Lights, Arctic nature, and local culture. With fewer guests, there's more flexibility and a personal atmosphere—perfect for those who want an authentic, quiet experience under the Arctic sky.

With a local guide monitoring real-time weather and aurora forecasts, you'll drive to the best spots with clear skies—whether that means staying nearby or heading inland. Along the way, your guide will share insights about the aurora, help you with camera settings, and take professional-quality photos of you with the lights (photos included). You'll travel in a warm, comfortable vehicle with hot drinks and light snacks to keep you cozy. This is not a fixed-location tour. It’s a flexible, authentic chase—every night is different, and your guide will adjust the route to give you the best chance of seeing the Northern Lights in the wild Arctic landscape.

5.00We had a great evening with Jens Birkeland. Very determinedly he drove with us through the snow to a place where the sky was clear and clear. In three different places we could observe the Northern Lights! We were a small group of two people and the trip was still made, which we Mega loved! Very personally Jens performed because evening! The photos from the evening will be sent to Mann via Dropbox at no extra charge! Very professional! We can absolutely recommend Jens and will definitely book him again! Thank you so much!

5.00We had a grear tour tour to see the northern lights. Jans gave us great background infos and was extremely prepared with apps and infos to chase the aurora. Great hostpitality and very good clean cars
