In the ten (yes, ten) emails viator sent me leading up to the event, only one had deeply embedded in an attachment a pickup time of 7:45. All others had 9:00 as the start. So we lost out on the entire experience. A few less emails and clearer directions would have been easier.

Picked up from our hotel on time and taken to the 3 gardens listed. Felt a bit rushed - would have liked at least an hour at each.

The gardens are beautiful, well laid out with a wide variety of exotic plants. The places to sit and the gentle music playing across the valley add to the ambiance. But it was 50 dollars each (it says 40 on the website). When I questioned the price I was bluntly told it had gone up. Every member of staff we came across looked like they didn’t want to be there and didn’t make eye contact. The first time we went, a few days ago, it was closed (it says open every day!). Thankfully went to Flower Forest botanical gardens up the road, where the staff were lovely, very welcoming and the gardens were also great. Flower Forest is 30 dollars each and a much larger garden. Nicer cafe too!

The gardens would be wonderful, too bad that the staff (from the employee who sells tickets to those of the coffee house) are of an unpleasantness and antipathy out of the ordinary .. !! moreover, during the hours of visiting the small garden - which would like to be an oasis of peace with lots of classical music etc. - use the brushing at full speed, so as to make you go out with a headache (and the ticket costs 20 US Dollar, not really given away .. ) ..

My family and I visited the gardens the day after a family funeral. The visit was such a beautiful and peaceful place to be to reflect on our loss. We were able to appreciate the beauty of nature in the plants and flowers. We have family in Barbados so plan to return to the gardens on our next visit.

As very amateur but enthusiastic hardy tropical gardeners this place is simply beautiful. Totally inspiring and simply the most beautiful garden we have ever visited ( and we have been to a lot!) Anthony was away when we visited as I would have loved to have met him. Perhaps next time

I did not expect to have such an amazing time on this tour. The garden was beautiful! what made it even better is that it started to rain while we were in the garden. And even with it raining we were still able to walk through without really getting wet because the tree leaves are so grand that it blocked it out. At one end of the garden, it’s Mr. Huntes Home. We all had some rum as well as some homemade cake that he made. Never felt so welcome. if you ever make it to Barbados, please check out his estate.

Great place to visit, not as big as I had thought but still impressive, met Antony hunte on our arrival ,what a knowledgeable man and lots of tales to tell. Walked around the beautiful gardens then up to the house ,where we had a drink and a pattie , the gingerbeer was the best I've ever had.

I have visited these gardens on every visit to Barbados over the last three years. It is one of my favourite places to visit and I love it. I love the Tranquility the peace, the music the Bird song the flowers et cetera I love meeting Anthony the owner, especially and I enjoy the rum punch on the terrace Although necessary, it is sad that Chukka Caves have made it more commercialised My only difficulty was waiting for the bus outside for more than an hour in the Sun with nowhere to say it but on the grass although told the bus would come at 4 pm it didn’t come till gone 5 pm. The bus service is very erratic.
