We are incredibly grateful to our guide, Almir, for sharing his lived experience of the war with such honesty and depth. The insights we gained were truly invaluable and left a lasting impression on us. This tour is more than just informative—it’s deeply meaningful and thought-provoking. We would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sarajevo in Bosnia. Experiences like this are so important, not only to remember what happened, but to remind us all to value peace, freedom, and the responsibility to stand up for them.

Yesterday, I did the 2 hour city walking tour and enjoyed it so much that today I followed up with the 4 hour Fall of Yugoslavia tour. It was incredibly well done. Our guide Almir had lived through the war, joining the Bosnian army at 16. Despite terrible experiences during the war, he really came across as retaining incredible empathy and avoiding any kind of hatred. The stories he told were fascinating and in fact very life affirming. I strongly recommend this tour.

This was a really facinating tour. The tour guide was exceptional in his explanation into the nuances and intricate history of this country and surrounding nations. My short attention span usually means i cant follow after 5 minutes of the tour and give up but this time i understood everything. It explained so many little details that i had seen in the city but had no understanding of.

This tour is a full recommendation, led from somebody who experienced the horror of the war in Bosnia by himself. Our guide is a hero to me, because despite he went through unspeakable pain he gave us a lesson not online historically but also about reconciliation and how to move on.

We had an incredible experience with our « Fall of Yugoslavia Tour ». Truly one of the highlights of our trip. Almir, our guide, offered thoughtful insights that you simply wouldn’t get from a guidebook. He explained complex topics with clarity and sensitivity. We could ask questions and gain a deeper understanding of the region’s past and culture. If you’re looking for a tour that goes beyond the surface and leaves you with a lasting appreciation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, this is absolutely the guide to choose.
