Superb trip today with Stevie through Joe’s black cab tours. So knowledgeable. Really enjoyed the insight from both sides into the Belfast troubles I remembered seeing on the news as a child. Stevie really brought it to life. Opportunities to take photos and ask plenty of questions . Absolutely loved it thank you so much x

Joe was an exceptional guide through both the Catholic and Protestant neighborhoods in West Belfast. He is a gifted speaker on a difficult subject. He has firsthand knowledge of the troubles and gave a forthright, sensitive narrative concerning this long period of strife in the region. His focus was on healing and unity and the collective pain felt by both sides. I came away with a much better understanding of this period in history and how it connects to communities around the world experiencing similar circumstances.

It was so informative and engaging. The personal accounts and visual stops made it one of best tours I've been on.

Excellent history and background information. As a young adult watching world events happen, I wasn't aware of many my of the details shared by Matt.

I had booked through my hotel a tour two days in advance and they never showed up. I met a lady the day before and I invited her to come on the tour with me. So I thought no tour and disappointed I was not going to get a tour. I went back to the hotel and told them to call another agency. Lucky BELFAST MURAL TOURS came through. We got Joe as our guide. First easy to understand him. Some people have an accent that I cannot follow. He was easy going and easy to ask questions. He is well informed since he lived through it. I think I was fortunate to have someone that was not only knowledgeable but lived it. I love history. He guided me through how back in time led up to the troubles. It really was more than one event. I especially liked how with his experience as a child and man and how the troubles affected him and his family. It brought life to the history. I have been told that these tours are good and not to be missed. I am very happy I was able to learn about the sad history and get the perspective from a man who lived the history. I was in a van not a black cab. Very glad I did not give up and got a tour. .

What an amazing tour. We came into it with very little knowledge on the history that took place in this city and was blown away by how informative Joe was. We stopped at some of the key historical places in the city and were able to walk around and see it at street level.

We both had a really great trip filled with lots of interesting information we had no clue about. Sad but interesting to learn about all the troubles. Our tour guide Joe was excellent from start to finish and would definitely recommend to anyone if and when they’re visiting Belfast
