We had an amazing experience on our tour. Our guide, Joe, was funny and knowledgeable. He gave us an amazing overview of the history of Belfast and the divisions that have been ongoing. He was honest and fair and very happy to answer any questions we had. I highly recommend the tour.

Joe provided us with a fascinating insight into the troubles that had occurred. Although its recent history we were very surprised to see and hear evidence of what had happened. Joe told us personal stories which affected us deeply, but he also gave us an impartial view so that we saw things from both sides . We are left with many questions but hope that there can be more integration of the schools which may help people to understand each other better and help people to live together more harmoniously.

My wife, friends and I recently took the tour which focused on key locations associated with The Troubles and we were truly blown away. This wasn't just a history lesson; it was a firsthand educational and moving experience, all thanks to our incredible host, Joe. Joe was extremely knowledgeable, but what made the tour so unique was the deep, personal insight he offered from growing up in West Belfast, including his own period of imprisonment during the conflict. His unique perspective gave us a rare look into the years of conflict and the complex progress toward peace and reconciliation between the communities since. Despite his background, Joe maintained a remarkably objective approach throughout the entire tour. He balanced his personal accounts with historical facts and, crucially, injected great knowledge and a good bit of humour to navigate what could have been a heavy and difficult topic. The experience was both enjoyable and genuinely moving to hear his firsthand accounts. If you are looking for a deeper understanding of this part of Belfast's history and the journey of its people, we would unreservedly recommend this trip. Joe's storytelling ability and candid nature made this the highlight of our visit.

Joe was fantastic, and a wealth of knowledge which was presented in a personal, unbiased and informative manner. Joe patiently answered any questions we had, and tailored parts of our tour to our specific interests. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to know more about Belfast's political history and the many murals found throughout the city.

Joe was excellent and informative. Even if you think you know about the murals and troubles there is still so much more to learn. Unbiased tour of both sides. If you want to know the gritty truth this tour is worth booking.

The most thought provoking and educational experience in our travels. This is no boring scripted tour. Jake, a Belfast native is knowledgeable and passionate guide. We heard the history through Jake's experience and got real perspective into what the people have gone through - and what shapes them still today. Did you know there are still gates locked at night? Or that each neighborhood has a memorial to victims of The Troubles? We did not. The tour was by comfortable van and Jake stopped often so we could take pictures. We had some meet up issues due to a marathon that day but Jake was flexible and we met elsewhere later. If you are travelling to the island of Ireland - do not miss Northern Ireland and Belfast. Take the the tour and understand the country better. Belfast is a vibrant city and well worth visiting.

Joe was fantastic! Impressive tour, very intimate for good conversations. The tour was just over 90 minutes and informative for less than knowledgeable tourists.
