Thought this would be something different to do on Father’s Day- there were 12 of us, 3 are fathers. I’m definitely biased because I love all things Providence, but everyone enjoyed it and they were pleasantly surprised. The guide was great (Tom I think, I have terrible name recall) and the weather was picture perfect. Already booked for fireworks on July 2, I will definitely book again.

Outstanding! We took the first Waterfire ride at dusk (6:45pm) on Saturday, September 28, 2019. We not only witnessed the lighting of the fires but the awesome display of torch twirling by a young women on one of the passing boats that lit the fires. The fiery glow reflected not only off the water and bridges along the route but off the the thousand of faces of people lining the canal and surrounding hillsides. The music was haunting and skyline all aglow showing off the architecture of the city. Kristin was amazing–suggesting the opening ride (a bit longer than other times); answering our questions; recommending dining in the area (options are plentiful, especially "BYOB: build your own burger" at Luxe Burger!), even offering her boats electrical output to charge our waning mobile phones to assure we had wonderful images of Waterfire. After spending the day touring and hiking the city–Capital building complex, Johnson and Wales University, Brown University-Waterfire was the best and most romantic close to a wonderful visit to Providence. Ya gotta see it!
