Enjoy a day in Fátima with a private vehicle and driver.
Of remote origins, it was Arab rule that marked the development of the place and gave it its name. According to legend, during the Christian Reconquest, the Templar knight Gonçalo Hermingues, known as Traga-Mouros, fell in love with Fátima, a Moorish captive during an ambush. Responding to love, the young woman converted to Christianity taking the name Oureana.
The town developed considerably after the Apparitions of Fátima, at the beginning of the 20th century, becoming one of the largest centers of Marian worship in Portugal, recognized worldwide by the Catholic Church.
Get picked up by our driver at your hotel in the city of Porto, enjoy the journey to Fátima in approximately 1h50.
Once you arrive in Fátima, you will have 4 hours free to visit Fátima.
You will be able to see the sanctuary of Fátima, the chapel of Apparitions.
Meet the driver again and return to your hotel in the center of Porto.

5.00Our driver, José, was excellent. He is fluent in Portuguese and English and he took us to see everything we wanted to see in Fatima plus other things we didn’t know about, which were among the best aspects of our visit. He had a lovely, clean vehicle that was big enough to hold our ample luggage. He picked us up on time from our hotel in Porto and after our Fatima visit, took us to a great lunch spot and then dropped us at a different hotel in Aveiro. It was an outstanding tour.

From the moment we met him, Joao’s energy, knowledge, and fun-loving personality set the perfect tone for the day. He was not only full of fascinating insights, but also went above and beyond—giving us space to enjoy our time together while also helping us plan around Mass times and a guided museum tour. His thoughtful planning made everything flow seamlessly. We laughed, we learned, and we soaked up every moment. This experience wouldn’t have been the same without Joao. If we ever find ourselves back in Portugal, he’ll be the first person we call!

5.00Our tour of Fatima was amazing. Our guide Joao was very knowledgeable of the Shrine as well as the surrounding areas, professional and very pleasant. He gave us direction as to what to look for, provided insight into the history of Fatima and in general made it a great day. At the conclusion of our tour we were hungry and asked if Joao knew of a good restaurant in the area. He took us to wonderful local restaurant where all of us enjoyed a very good Portuguese meal. Don’t miss this tour and be sure to ask for Joao.
