A fun tour with the "must see" Batu Caves, the very cute Silver Leaf monkeys, yummy dinner and a short boat ride to see fireflies. The fireflies are not as abundant as one of the photos suggests, but still a great experience. Our driver was Chandra, who was very friendly and could tell us a few things about the places we visited.

Extremely disappointing trip. The organiser messaged after our tour for some feedback and I explained my disappointment but never received a reply. Just wanted to make others aware so hopefully you can avoid making the same mistake. We left the tour feeling very disappointed overall, and I feel it’s important to share our experience. The main issue is that we felt the trip was mis-sold. For the price we paid, we expected a professional tour guide with in-depth knowledge of the locations on the itinerary. Unfortunately, it became clear that our driver was not familiar with many of the stops, and we received very little information about the places we were visiting. Our driver would listen to voice notes between stops and regularly called the organiser for information when we arrived at locations. It felt more like we had hired a private driver rather than booked a guided tour. We would ask our guide questions regarding the Batu Caves or the Fireflies and our guide would either just say they were unsure or they would appear to guess answers. To be clear, our frustration is not directed at the driver himself—he was lovely—but rather at the way the tour was marketed and organised. We were under the impression that we would be getting a guided experience, and what we received did not match those expectations. This was the most expensive activity of our three-week trip, and unfortunately, it turned out to be the most disappointing. It also happened to be one of only three days we had in Kuala Lumpur, and our final day of the entire holiday. We ended up feeling that we had wasted that last day.

This was a wonderful experience. Treatment was delightful and the guide had so much knowledge to share about Malaysia. I would do this again and highly recommend it.

Overall, the trip was very interesting. The Batu Caves are exciting and the experience with the monkeys afterwards is especially nice for children. The firefly ride was a bit short, only 20 minutes. We had a great driver who told us a lot about Malaysia.

Our lovely, informative driver arrived promptly to pick us up from our hotel in KLCC in a comfortable car. The Batu caves are a must see. Our 5 and 7 year old loved the monkey visit and feeding on the way to the dinner destination which was delicious and fresh. The fireflies were spectacular. Great tour.

Good guide. A good experience at Batu Caves and the Ildflue boat trip was a really beautiful experience. Seeing the apes was nothing for us, but it was nice just to visit the Batik shop
