Excellent tour with stops in some on Gran Canaria’s most picturesque little villages and towns. Firgas in particular is a beautiful spot and I would have liked to spend a bit longer than 20 minutes there. Lunch was very good and gave me an opportunity to interact with fellow tourists. Tour guide Carmelo was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable; and our driver Jesus was amazing as he navigated us safely through the somewhat scary mountain roads! The route through the inland regions also offered some brilliant photo opportunities. Overall, the tour was excellent value for money and a great day out exploring this wonderful island.

Trip was good but really spectacular I couldn't call it. Guide and driver excellent. And the restaurant should erase you from your program. Optional is no option there is nothing nearby. What a lousy restaurant, staff unfriendly, bad food tasteless and quack it right on the table. Eating shed but even worse.

We took part in a full-day tour around the island, and the experience was mixed. We were picked up by bus at the hotel, driven to another stop and switched to a new bus – something confusing, but it worked. The guide Carmelo was funny and entertaining, but it was hard to keep up with everything he said. The driver Jesús did a really good job and drove safely all the way. The visit to Firgas was one of the highlights – a beautiful place that is definitely worth a visit. Guayadeque, however, was a very short and not very exciting stop. The Aloe Vera plantation was ok, and the guide was good at telling, but the visit had a clear sales character. Lunch stop was at a restaurant, where you had to pay 15 euros for the prey, main dish, dessert and one drink. The food was ok, but far from a culinary experience. There were no other options to eat, so bring food package if you prefer. The view of Tejeda was really nice, and the visits to Tunte and Valley of the Thousand Palm Trees were excellent without being anything special. All in all, a very long day where the trip could be cut down a bit – especially the aloe vera plantation and Guayadeque could be avoided.

Hotel staff contacted the provider on Gran Canaria for the exact meeting place. We were there waiting for the bus. Time approached and no bus. Received assistance from a taxi driver, who again spoke with the provider, and was referred to a meeting place further down the road. Suddenly the provider called and said they were driving without us because we weren’t in the right place. We had to take a taxi for 35 euros to the next pickup point.

We went to get a quick tour of most of the north of the island so that we could decide where to go when we hired our car and it served that purpose very well. Tours like this are inevitably tiring, but we felt worthwhile. The main criticism is that the English diction of the guide made him very difficult to follow and his need to translate every phrase uttered into German and Spanish as well meant there was a lack of detail of the places visited. The driver, Jesus, was brilliant and clearly did receive divine assistance to achieve his most astonishing manoeuvres!

An excellent trip. The driver and guide were both very good. Lots of information given throughout the tour. Stopped at many locations albeit for quite short periods. It’s quite a long day but worth it to see the island. Overall a great day out and would recommend to others.

Unusually for me, I suffered a lot from travel nausea, but I have tried to discount that misfortune from my review, except to say that the motion of a coach on these narrow, twisting mountain roads is not something for weak tummies. The driver, Jesus, was wonderfully skilled and experienced, giving not a moment’s concern and manoeuvring past vehicles and obstacles where the only possible explanation was divine intervention by his namesake! We booked to give us a flavour of the whole island to inform our use of car hire later. The itinerary did exactly that, with an excellent choice of route and stops. Comfort breaks were frequent and the lunch stop of three courses, wine or beer and water for €15 amazing value. Not haute cuisine, of course, but still the best for such a price. The guide was very attentive, translating every comment into Spanish, German and English. We found his English, while formally very correct, required great concentration, because of his unusual diction. We feel this tour was very worthwhile and excellent value for money.

Positive points: we visited nice places and villages. Out guide Carmelo gave a lot of insightful information about the places we visited and the places we passed through. Our driver Jesús navigated the coach bus with ease through the narrow and windy mountain roads. We also liked the aloe vera plantation visit. Downsides: we spent most of the time in the bus, a big coach means a lot of people, losing time loading and unloading. The time to visit each location felt often a bit rushed. If we would do it over, we would go for a tour with a minibus.
