We are all about fishing the stunning waters of Tamarindo, our local crew will know exactly where the best fishing spots will be on the day of your tour. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain and 1st mate can tell you all about their experience fishing in the gorgeous Pacific waters of Costa Rica. Not only they will give you a good insight on different types of fishing that are popular in the area but if you’re lucky enough they can fillet the fish for you so you can take with you or enjoy a fresh sashimi on board.
You´ll be fishing aboard a 26ft Mako center console that holds up to 5 passengers, it has outriggers, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There´s a toilet on board for your convenience. You´ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you as well as lures.
Trips are run with the help of a First mate, a 10-20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work (not included in tour price).

What To Expect
This Experience offers the adventurous and exhilarating experience of fishing for all levels from beginner to experienced anglers. We of course welcome children on board so this 26ft boat is perfect for families or group of friends that are looking for an unforgettable experience in the Pacific Ocean. Not only you will get the opportunity to be catching fish but nature will most probably provide our clients the privilege of sighting humpback whales (when in season), dolphins and sea turtles. The tour will be including snacks (such as chips, dip and fruits) and also beverages such as beers, sodas and water. We offer morning or afternoon tours with a duration of 4 hours. Within these 4 hours our clients will be able to potentially catch different kinds of Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Sailfish, groupers, snappers, amongst other variety of fish whilst performing different kinds of fishing such as trolling, jigging, spinning and deep sea fishing. Depending on what fish we catch you will be offered the option of catch and release or take some with you to feast on after the tours. If you´re lucky the crew will also prepare fresh sashimi on board for those who love it!

5.00Really enjoyed our fishing trip with Sailfish tours. Caroline and Bismarck were great and despite the rough seas they were able to get us on some snapper and tuna. I will definitely book with them again and pray for calmer seas. Had our catch cooked for dinner too!

5.00Went on a half day fishing trip out of Tamarindo, Costa Rica with Caroline and Bismark. They got us on some Albacore Tuna right away. Bismark cleaned them right on the boat for us. Was a pretty wavy day but Caroline kept checking on us making sure we were all doing ok. Great conversation and a great time!

5.00Our family had an amazing time with Caroline and Bismark. Caroline contacted us and warned that the waters might be rough and to bring anti-nausea pills but in the end the waters were calm. We were also told no guarantees for catching fish but we caught 8 tuna and kept 3 that Bismark kindly skinned and gutted. I made fish tacos for lunch and sushi tuna for dinner. We were also served the most amazing tasting pineapple and a few very cold beers. I would highly recommend this excursion.

5.00This is a smaller boat and perfect for a short trip, especially with kids. Our son had a blast, caught a tuna and was home by lunch. Both the captain and first mate took care of everything- we just had to show up on the beach and go.

5.00Had an amazing time! Bismark knew all the good spots and what lures to use at the right times. Great vibes on the boat, caught tons of fish and learned lots about fishing / the local area.
