Venture into an unforgettable guided bus trip towards the most distinctive and well-preserved stave church in Norway. Start your adventure in the charming village of Flåm, nested at the end of the Aurlandsfjorden. This journey takes you through E16´s longest road tunnel that makes way for the beautiful Lærdal valley.
On the other side, enjoy the first photo stop viewing the outside of the terrific Borgund stave church. After hopping inside the bus, a rest stop is made at the picturesque village of Lærda where you can also catch a glimpse of the Sognefjorden.
Fastening your seatbelts once again, drive across powerful mountains and breathtaking sights over the Aurlandsfjorden, one of Norway´s best scenic roads. Before you get tired of the twists and turns, admire from above where two impressive arms of the Sognefjorden meet, at the Stegastein viewpoint. The trip ends at the meeting point in Flåm, after driving down the last meandering section of the Aurlandsfjorden.

The tour guide was brilliant. She was very knowledgeable about every aspect of the trip, and provided plenty of interesting facts. She was lovely. The stops were enough time to have a Quick Look around, a leg stretch and some photos, but not so long you were having around waiting to get going again.

Viator charged me for four tickets (what I asked for). My app said 4 tickets but when we got to the bus for the excursion Viator had told them I cancelled one and only had 3 seats. The bus was was full and the operator told me that they weren’t leaving till I got off the bus. The operator (excursions4u) was very rude and gave no care I had nothing for my day in Norway. Will NEVER use again.

Seeing the fjiords from a different perspective. Snow and water at the top of Stegastein, as well as the over look.

Our guide (female from Patagonia) was very well informed and shared history and cultural knowledge with us. Being driven through the longest vehicle tunnel in the world was exciting and appreciate the challenges to living in a mountain area. Was disappointed not to be able to get into the grounds surrounding the Stave Church let alone the church itself. Felt rushed at our beautiful scenic stops and realize the number of tourists (buses and cars) on the narrow roads made it necessary in order to return to the ship on time. (We took the 1 p.m. trip, suggest you go earlier to avoid this.) Being above the snow line and seeing the snow and the crystal clear snow-melt ponds was so refreshing. My 4th trip to Norway and I continue to plan my next one.

The most unprofessional, sleazy, incompetent business that I have ever encountered. Viator should not allow them to be a company under contract with them. It was a 12:30 excursion. Was sent a communication to arrive at 11:40. We arrived at 11:30 and were told that they were waiting for a few more people. With no communication, we waited on the bus for an hour and then left at 12:30. After leaving the parking lot, we then turned around to go back to pick up people who were late for the 12:30 arrival. The boss made them do it we were told. We went through the tunnel and were directed into an inspection area for trucks, buses, etc. After the initial inspection, we were directed into another area for further review. The inspector said right from the beginning that we needed another bus. They did nothing. Spent 30 minutes trying to find the paperwork for the vehicle. One piece of paper was found in the netting of the first row seat. Finally, they found the folder in an overhead bin. However, even with the paperwork, the bus was not roadworthy. There were several issues. We were in an area with no transportation services as a couple of us tried to go into businesses asking if there was anyway back. There wasn't. After about an hour standing in the parking lot; a van showed up to take us back to the ship in groups. The business only had 1 month of experience. The driver and guide were completely helpless. We saw nothing. Wasted our entire experience. While we are being reimbursed; we aren't being compensated for our inability to see the beautiful sites that we missed.
