Hi, my name is Erdem (Adam), and I’ll be your guide for the cat tours. I have been working as a guide here in Kusadasi since 2015. In 2018, I met Garfield near the theatre. He approached me, and we quickly became friends. I named him Garfield, and since then, we have shared a special bond.
Three years ago, I created the Instagram page garfield_of_ephesus. The purpose of this page is to raise awareness and do something meaningful for the stray cats in Ephesus. From this idea, we launched the cat tour.
Twenty percent of the income from the tours goes toward food for cats and dogs. I also provide some cat food for my guests, so they can share it with the stray cats and enjoy this experience together.
Over the years, I’ve named several cats around Ephesus, including Fluffy, Ginger, Mr. Mustache, Sylvester, Olive, and Mr. Crippled.

5.00My family spent the day with Erdam around the Kusadasi area. Every tour guide can tell you that the Bay of Ephesus has receded six miles, that the Temple of Artemis was an ancient wonder of the world, and show you the stunning Library of Celsius. It is HOW you do it that makes the difference. Erdam was kind, friendly, and funny. It felt like having a new member of the family for the day. His attention to our seven year old and his fondness for the cats of the area really stand out. Highly recommend Erdam to anyone visiting the area.
