The tour was great. Our tour guide Icy made the visit to the square and Forbidden City truly special. She contacted us one day advance, giving us so much detail information, which was very useful. She was very organized with directions and meeting points, always ensuring the group stayed together. She recommended a Dimsum restaurant and Peking duck restaurant, which were fantastic. We really really enjoyed the shopping on the wholesale market she recommended to us, she did above and beyond her work. Even if a few days later, she still offered help to us. If you are looking for a tour, please choose City walk from Mubus with Icy, which will definitely be a well-paced, informative, and enjoyable tour.

If you’re visiting the Forbidden City, Linda is the best tour guide to choose. She has an in-depth understanding of Chinese imperial history and culture. Every story she told about the palace was vivid and full of interesting details. Her spoken English was excellent, smooth and easy for all travelers to follow. She was attentive to every member of our group and cared about our needs. She arranged the tour route reasonably to save our time and energy. She answered all kinds of questions with patience and professional insights. Her enthusiasm for the Forbidden City was truly contagious to everyone. With her guidance, our tour became meaningful instead of simple sightseeing. We felt so lucky to have such a professional and kind tour guide. Linda definitely made our Beijing trip more wonderful and memorable. We will surely recommend her to our family and friends traveling here.

Our tour guide Snow was simply amazing. She knows a lot about the history of Tiananmen Square and the Palace Museum. My partner and I (who have differing levels of knowledge of Chinese and of Chinese history) both really enjoyed it. We also appreciate that Snow extended the duration of the tour because of the long queue to enter Tiananmen Square that day.

Our guide Snow was amazing. For context, I speak Chinese and know Chinese history decently. My partner doesn't speak much Chinese and his knowledge is more patchy. We both feel that Snow had a good grasp of the history of Tiananmen Square and of the Palace Museum and was able to convey that to us in an easily understandable, entertaining manner. My partner and I both learned a lot from the trip.

I had a wonderful experience with Icy as my guide. She is excellent—extremely accommodating, attentive, and thorough. Icy provided clear explanations in both English and Mandarin and used photos to make the history engaging and easy to understand. She made the tour both smooth and memorable. If there's one small suggestion, it would be to improve the earpiece, as it wasn't very clear. However, this did not affect Icy's outstanding performance.

Ping was a very knowledgeable guide who gave us an interrsting tour of the Forbidden City. The group was only 7 people so it was easy to navigate through the crowds of other visitors. Ping’s english is very good and was always easy to hear and understand. Because the complex is huge the tour can only take you through one side of the complex so I recommend taking some time after the tour to explore the other side.

Everthing was perfect, our tour guide Icy was extremely knowledgeable about the history, culture, and stories behind the palace. She was not only a good tour guide, but also an excellent teacher, explaining everything clearly and engagingly. We learned so much from Icy .She was also very attentive and thoughtful, making sure everyone was comfortable and could follow along, and she was happy to answer questions throughout the tour. She was so sweet to prepare a small gift for my daughter .A big thumb for her. If you are visiting Beijing, highly recommend this tour and especially Icy.It was informative, enjoyable, and very well organised.

There’s a difference between visiting the Forbidden City and feeling its soul—and Linda is the one who bridges that gap. Wandering through those red walls and golden roofs with her felt like stepping into a quiet, forgotten poem. She didn’t just recite facts; she wove stories of emperors and artisans, of triumphs and quiet sorrows, into every step we took. She pointed out the way sunlight hits the glazed roof tiles at 3 p.m., the faint carvings on a pillar that most visitors miss, and the hush that settles over the courtyards when the crowds fade. Her voice was gentle but full of passion, turning a sightseeing tour into a deeply moving encounter with history. By the end, we left not just with photos, but with a piece of the palace’s heart. Thank you, Linda—for making the Forbidden City feel like more than a landmark, but a living, breathing story.
