5.00We had a great tour with Icy.Beijing was extremely cold, but Icy was wonderfully warm and genuine, making our trip absolutely perfect. Even though we had visited the Great Wall, Icy’s explanations gave us a deeper understanding of Chinese wall culture. She is a great storyteller—simple yet humorous—and during those four hours, we learned so much about historical figures from the Ming and Qing dynasties, as well as a lot about Chinese culture.After the tour, she also gave us different suggestions. Even several days later, she was still offering us help. We were very happy to have Icy as our guide.

We went into the tour knowing just the basics about this iconic landmark, but Linda transformed our visit into a deep dive into China’s imperial history that was both informative and fun. Her passion for the Forbidden City shines through every word—she didn’t just talk about the architecture of the Hall of Central Harmony or the layout of the Inner Court; she shared captivating tales of emperors, concubines, and even the daily lives of palace servants that you won’t find in any guidebook. She’s also incredibly considerate. Our group had a mix of ages, and Linda tailored the pace perfectly—slowing down at key spots for the history buffs, pointing out kid-friendly details to keep the little ones engaged, and even suggesting quiet corners to rest when anyone felt tired. Plus, she’s a pro at finding those hidden photo spots away from the crowds, which made our souvenir photos look like they came straight from a travel magazine. By the end of the tour, we weren’t just visitors—we felt like we’d walked through a living piece of history. Linda doesn’t just show you the Forbidden City; she helps you feel its magic. 5.00I did an English guided tour of the Forbidden City with Vanessa and it was fantastic. She’s very knowledgeable and explains the history and symbolism in a clear, engaging way without it feeling overwhelming. The Forbidden City is huge, and having Vanessa as a guide really helped bring the place to life. Her English was excellent and she was great at answering questions along the way. Highly recommend booking a tour with her if you want more than just wandering through on your own.

5.00My tour to the Forbidden City was guided by Snow. The communication beforehand, including information about the meeting point and how to get there, was very friendly and easy to understand. This was confirmed the next morning when we met in person. Snow is very cheerful, motivated, and communicative. Many interesting conversations developed throughout the tour. Snow made a great effort to provide the participants with the best possible experience. She pointed out a special limited exhibition in the Forbidden City, which she showed us free of charge, investing additional time beyond the planned tour. During the trip, she demonstrated broad and in-depth knowledge of the history, architecture, and the various inhabitants of the Forbidden City. I thoroughly enjoyed the tour and can wholeheartedly recommend hiring a guide like Snow to anyone interested in visiting the Forbidden City.

5.00The tour of the palace was very special. Our guide Snow was knowledgeable and attentive. She gave us options and provided a lot of interesting details. Would definitely recommend this tour if going to the palace!! There is so much interesting history we would not have known without Snow. And it’s so fun to see the ladies (and gents) dressed from the Ming & Qing dynasties taking photos!!
