Our guide Michael was awesome! He was super friendly and he was very knowledgeable about the tour and was able to answer any questions we had. All around a pleasure. He gave us great recommendations for other things to do in the area too. It was nice to do the tour instead of trying to coordinate ourselves as he handled the tickets and we were able to go in a separate tour entrance so there were no lines. I would recommend this tour to anyone!

Helen was super organized and knowledgeable! She was a great tour guide. I don't know if I'd be able to navigate the forbidden city without a tour guide.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Unforgettable Journey Through Beijing's Imperial Heart We joined the Forbidden City tour with guide Icy, and it turned out to be the highlight of our Beijing trip—especially since we hadn't had time to secure our own tickets, which were included and saved us a lot of hassle. Icy is an exceptional storyteller. She transformed waiting time (inevitable during student winter vacation with long security lines) into fascinating history lessons, sharing details and anecdotes you'd never find in guidebooks. Her narrative is so engaging and comprehensive that by the end of her explanations, you genuinely have no questions left—she's already answered them all. The tour itself was perfectly paced: we visited all the key halls and most beautiful sites without ever feeling rushed, captured photos at the best shooting spots, and had comfortable breaks for souvenirs and snacks. Icy strikes that rare balance between efficiency and depth—she guides you through efficiently while ensuring you truly understand and appreciate what you're seeing beyond the surface. If you want to experience the Forbidden City with context, passion, and zero logistical stress, this tour is absolutely worth it—especially with Icy. Highly recommended!

What an amazing experience!!! The tour was perfect, our guide, Linda, explained everything about the forbidden City, TianAnmen square and the Treasure Gallery. The tour wasn’t rushed, everyone had time to stop and take pictures. Linda also gave us moments to rest while enjoying the beautiful architecture of the forbidden city. I really suggest to take this tour because it makes you see and feel how life would have been like hundreds of years ago. Special thanks to our guide Linda for being very professional and kind.

Absolutely brilliant tour with Linda! She is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and passionate about the history and culture of the Forbidden City. Her English is fluent and easy to understand, and she explained complex stories in a lively, fun way that made the whole experience unforgettable. Linda planned the perfect route to avoid crowds, showed us amazing photo spots, and answered every question with great detail. She’s not just a guide—she’s a wonderful storyteller who brought the ancient palace to life. Highly recommend Linda to anyone visiting Beijing! 5 stars without hesitation!

Julia was our guide for the day. The Muji Hotel meeting point was easy to find. Our group met there then walked north across the street to the group entrance and security checkpoint. We then toured Tiananmen Square, followed by the Forbidden City, Treasure Gallery & garden. There is a lot of walking due to the size of the complex. The tour ended on the north side adjacent to the The Palace Museum-Shenwu Gate故宫博物院-神武门 . From there I walked ~15 minutes to the subway station at National Art Museum. I use an app called Amap to get around the city and it's great for step by step directions.
