5.00Our tour guide, Icy, was fantastic. She explained the history of both places in detail throughout the tour and was very helpful for us, a family with young children. The advantage of buying a tour is that you avoid the long queues for the general public; there's a dedicated lane for tour groups, which, while still taking some time, is significantly shorter. Therefore, if you want to visit both places, buying a tour is much more convenient, and I highly recommend Icy as your guide.

5.00I can’t recommend Linda, our Forbidden City tour guide, highly enough! She was extremely professional, punctual and had an incredible depth of knowledge about the palace’s history, architecture and hidden stories. Unlike some generic tours, Linda tailored her explanation to our pace, answered all our questions patiently, and pointed out many details we would have completely missed on our own. Her English is fluent and easy to understand, making the whole 3-hour tour engaging and informative. Thanks to Linda, we didn’t just visit the Forbidden City—we truly understood its charm and legacy. A 5-star experience all the way!
