After its birth in the 1840s, and especially between 1866 and 1890, drovers ran millions of cattle through Fort Worth on to the Red River, winding their way north to the rail heads in Abilene, Kansas via the Chisholm Trail.You will feel like you go back in time and wetness Daily Longhorn Cattle Drives. 4.00We took the half-day Fort Worth tour from Dallas with our guide, Dan. Not only was Dan extremely knowledgeable and able to answer our questions, he was also very personable and entertaining. We were disappointed to find that the cattle drive was cancelled upon arrival at the stockyards, but still enjoyed Fort Worth so much that we decided to stay beyond the length of the tour and Dan was happy to provide recommendations as to how we could get back on our own! Highly recommend touring with Dan!

5.00Great mini tour! We liked the half day option. Two quick historical stops on the way and then two hours to explore at the stockyard. Just right for our group. Our guide, Dan, was very personable and knowledgeable.

1.00For the Fort Worth Stockyards you're better taking an Uber on your own and you can do a tour there for eight dollars once you get there and then spend as much time or as a little time as you want and Uber back. You'll come out way ahead financially better than taking this tour. Great places to eat there and you have to be there to see the Longhorns come down the street 11:30 AM or 4 PM.

5.00Great fun. I wish there was more time allowed to spend in Fort Worth so many shops and great things to do like stagecoach rides maze that we did not get to do. The two hours allotted was not enough.
