Amazing Tour! The pick up was punctual and everything went smooth. The drive to the caves was scenic and our group was small (only 7 persons) so it wasn‘t crowded at all. In the first Cave we were provided general information about the glowworms but we didn‘t see many… but the second cave was absolutely stunning! We went on a boat and there were so many glowworms, they looked like stars in the nightsky. I would absolutely recommend this tour!

This was an amazing experience. Our driver was friendly and gave us a lot of information about New Zealand. Pablo was an excellent guide in the caves. He even took time to take each person’s picture with the glow worms behind us. He also took the time to show us how to set our phone cameras to get the best pictures. The van ride is long and somewhat cramped but well worth it for this experience.

  • Cool to see the caves. Van not too comfortable

I have mixed reviews. The tour company was kind. I told them my location and they knew I had to walk into the city. They recommended the hotel furthest from me. So did some digging and picked an other hotel that was a 20 minute walk closer and they were nice to change it. JJ was friendly. He drove us. Did not say much but was kind. He was a good driver. I was so uncomfortable in the car I almost got out before we left the city. The van has 2 rows of three seats right next to each other and the back row had four seats. So someone has a middle seat. I have broad shoulders and so does the guy next to me, so I was sitting on the hard part of the seat belt and had to lean the entire 3 hour drive and my back hurt when we arrived. The group of 4 in the back were sardined in there. However, non of us were petite people. I have been traveling for 7 months this was the most uncomfortably van ride I have had . I am older and JJ was aware and nice to tell the 20 year old to go in the middle and that was nice of both of them. It was really cool to see the cave and glow worms. We got to go in two caves. The tour was fine. We enjoyed it. A few spots we were hurried, then enjoyed it and then hurried again. We had a lady on the tour that thought the world revolved around her and was happy the tour guide asked her to be quiet and to step back so others could see. We had a 30 minute lunch. So had to get something quick. I got a kabab and it was really good. One of the best I have had. I think I liked the tour. The 20 year old who is traveling the world asked me if I liked it and I was like I think so. It was cool to see and I asked him and he was like not really. But reflecting on it I think it was some of the people not the tour itself and the van was not the most comfortable. It was cool to see and nice to be in a smaller group of 11 and 2 more join us when we got to the caves. Happy I saw it. Not happy how I felt after.
